And yet another test: Let's see what a 48 Volt Luna Cycle pack does on the 350 watt 36 volt FWD motor: 1. 26mph @ 47.1 volts. Clearly the 36v controller has some overlap in function. For reference I tested a freshly charged 36 v frog battery.... right off the charger it reads 41 volts...

9.29.15 Ride Update - WHY a 2WD???? So I've been riding this 2wd sondors all wrong!!! 20 miles on pavement/sidewalks is only part of the story and really now what it does well. There is a new park/mtn bike trails being constructed near me...... so I was able to test the 2wd in the tracks...

grench... fair enough man! I've been spying some 1500 dir drive fr/rr motors for this fat bike..... but I'm getting ahead of myself :) Like they say in street racing.... "it's stock".... "stock sonders" ;)... I'm sure he was shaking his head when he saw a sondors on his tail for 1 mile @...

    Career Opportunities in Ebikes?

I too am a believer in this mode of transport on many levels..... and see this as just the beginning of something new/big. Why stop at sales... with the low cost chinese mfr parts/kits..... you could put together your own kit, or complete bike in your local area. AND ship world-wide via...

Put another 19 miles afterwork tonight. Avg 17.5 mph, 62mins. Funny story.. I roll up to a major intersection, and spy a road-biker. I like to hang or pass them on the sondors. This guy is different... he immediately clicks up to 26mph..... so I pull all she's got down..... and am pacing this...

Houston Texas is dangerous in a car, and more dangerous by bike. I ride at 4:30am on sidewalks, bike paths, and jogging trails when they are no other humans around.

Larry Pizzi of EBCC discusses Electric Bike Laws and Classes at Interbike

As a benifactor of rehab from my sondors, I can totally see the benefit of the application....... there is overwhelming support for handicap accessibility.... I'm sure there is a way to emphasize the ebike role in this movement. Part of this is Fed law...

Larry Pizzi of EBCC discusses Electric Bike Laws and Classes at Interbike

On my early morning ebike ride I got to thinking about another avenue for Ebike Law...... for handicapped people..... under the accessibilty act...... it seems there could be accomodations for people with health issues to be allowed permits (if it comes to that) for ebikes........ and access to...

Put in another 22 mile ride this AM, and started getting a VERY loud creaking sound from the front wheel. I was concerned it was cheapo bearings.... but further investigation found noise spokes. Per direction of some mtn bike tech forums, I added a drop of wax based lube to each spoke, and...

Sondors.... NOT Sonders :) No offense meant for Mr. Sonders.... I mean Sondors ;) That little blue tape just makes the bike pop. More little mods coming: Ordered some custom gelly blue/gold handle grips. Also ordered another thumb throttle for fr wheel.... so I'll have thumb throttles on...

Another Sondors CF Campaign.. This one on KS

Annm - I bought the cheapest dir drive 350 watt front tire fat bike kit I could find @ $250, local (ebay). * I stuffed 2 controllers in the sondors box. * Brake defeat - front brake defeats the front motor, rear brake defeats the rear motor. Hit both when braking. * PAS on rear motor only...

Another Sondors CF Campaign.. This one on KS

jazz..... I added another 350watt hub motor to the front wheel, AND it really wakes this bike up, so agree on the option to have a high watt motor. I'll probably upgrade later to 48volt 1000watt/fr/rr on my sonders just to see what it's like. Fenders - big-o fit nice.

(Link Removed - No Longer Exists) Changes: 1. Changed out the silly red wheel strip to reflective 3m tape in blue. 2. Changed tires to vee8's... less rolling res, better ride... and smaller dia keeps motor's in sweet spot. Non pas tops out @ 22 mph instead of 25 with stock tires. 3. Big-o...

My brother is an avid "purist" who lives/rides in boulder Co...... he tested out my ebike and thought it was "neat".... and said he could never ride it in Boulder. I ride trails by my house..... and just use extra care to drive respectfully, and slower around the mtn bikers.... so they don't...
