    Evelo Dash information

That's interesting about the gearing, and something I hadn't really thought about. Evelo's previous folder the Quest had the NuVinci hub, so I had wondered why they went with just a three-speed on the Dash. I had thought it might be a case of weight-watching to a fault, but maybe it was simply a...

    Evelo Dash information

They appear to be very different bikes so it all depends on what you want. It appears that the Dash is about 6-inches longer overall. My wife has really enjoyed the fact that the Dash is much more stable than our previous folding bikes, Giant Expressways, which were shorter in length and much...

We have been riding ours off and on, though much less than I would like to. We've returned to the Valley trail where the grades max out at about 5% and the battery consumption is quite moderate. We've pedaled flat sections where we just turn off the assist and they ride nicely. We recently...

Who is transporting their ebikes standing up inside a truck bed under topper?

I realize this isn't what you asked for, but it's how we deal with keeping our bikes protected. We bought folding bikes. The one on the right is a Giant Expressway, non-motorized. We have two of these. I cobbled together plywood "sleds" which help slide them in and out of the vehicle, a Jeep...

Yes, higher gearing and the associated higher top speeds would come at the expense of the bike's hill-climbing abilities. Unfortunately, I don't think they have a low-speed kit. ; ) And, yeah, I get that about the saddles breaking us in; I haven't been riding consistently enough to get there yet.

The marks on the seat post are centimeters, so there's much less than 4-inches of downward adjustment available on the picture above. I'd say that the minimum seat height with our G3 Thudbusters is about 31" above ground. Without trimming, the stock seat post would be an inch or two higher...

The forum doesn't support uploading an XLS file format. It's not difficult to convert a PDF to a spreadsheet format.

I hear you. We met a gal at the bike trail who just basically heaved her 70-lb folder into a Ford Edge without folding it. It wasn't a pretty sight, but it got the job done.

Here's the complete list, sorted by weight and price. I was focused on 20" tires and smaller; there's a few with 16" tires. Most are folding, but a few are "compact". Non-folders have their brand and model names in red italics font. The Flyer Upstreet and possibly others are not available in the...

    Evelo Dash information

Evelo's stock post is 31.8mm x ~450mm long from tip to rails. They offer the current generation Thudbuster which is listed at 375mm long. After some measurement and consideration, we bought the last generation model (G3) Thudbuster ST at 353mm long. I am 5'9" and there is plenty of insertion...

New to eBikes. Just purchased 3 Folding bikes (Aventon Sinch, Rad Mini 4, EVELO Dash). I think I need help.

Thanks! We've been running 30 psi. and I'd be even happier if it was less so we'd get a bit more "padding" to supplement the Thudbusters. I can't believe that I used to ride ten speeds with a Brooks leather saddle and about an inch-wide tire at 100 psi.

These 20 folders are under 55 lbs. and under $2,200, filtered from the 70 or so compact and folding bikes that I looked at over the past few months. There's no filter for whether they might be available from a local bike shop; most probably aren't. Some of the information is probably dated...

How fun is this, right? The reflective tires on both bikes are cool. I see the Mini has mechanical disc brakes. What does the sidewall say about the tire size and manufacturer on the Mini? Are the spokes beefy like the Evelo?

Local bike shop, enough power for hills, $1,500 & 50 lbs. are tough to combine. I shopped for folding and compact 20" bike extensively as we are basically committed to carrying bikes in an SUV while towing a little travel trailer; I've got a list of almost 70 options. Bikes Direct's Motobecane...

Not rude at all. It is a huge jump, until someone decides it isn't. People are funny like that. I've even been known to surprise myself. ; ) In consulting we had a saying that if you asked a client what they wanted they would ask for the moon. If you just went ahead and solved the problems they...

I knew someone who shopped for houses in our area many years back. He told the realtor he did not want to see anything over $100K as that was just an outrageous amount of money at the time. After he had seen some of the inventory available at his price point, he then told the realtor that he...
