Are you sure you don’t have it. It will still show as Sport mode but the bottom of the screen will temporary show eMTB mode at the bottom of the screen. If it’s not they you will need a Bosch dealer to enable it with their software.

Sounds like the 60 would be fine for this. Especially with the footwell. Keep in mind you also have some capacity on the rear carrier with panniers and/or a rack top bag or basket.

To the OP. New displays are backwards compatible. I wouldn’t be concerned about being able to support the bike long term.
