    hydraulic front brake quit working

Is there room on the trailer tongue? I've seen the propane bottles moved forward to accommodate bikes.....

Does the ADA supersede local restrictions on Ebikes?

Not a bad plan for paved - or unpaved - paths in my book.

How's the bike infrastructure where you ride?

SE Mi, Detroit area. Infrastructure = 1/10 We have some pretty nice parks with MUP's, but what I would call "infrastructure" is pretty dismal

Budget E-Bike list of Full Suspension, Integrated Batteries 900-2000$

A couple of "thoughts". How adventuresome are you feeling? I've never even heard of any of these bikes. That's not to say they are all total duds, just saying make sure you do some home work/due diligence! Maybe a google search on the US warehouse address? Parts availability? Are they stocked...

Traveling home from vacation with Giant ebike. Rain in forecast

When we were dragging our bikes back and forth between Michigan and Florida on an open utility trailer twice a year (we now have a pair at each end), we ALWAYS managed to get into some rain, and on a few occasions a LOT of rain (the entire 2 day trip). Batteries were stored inside the vehicle...

    Thudbuster vs Kinekt seat posts

I had a "squeaker" Thudbuster as well, and yes it was set up for my weight.

Looking to build on a budget ......

Had to think about that for a second..... but I have to give it to the Ultra based on the 2 bikes I have. A BIG reason is the fact the Ultra has ALL available power on tap from a standing start (MY choice, done in the controller parameters). This means you had better be hanging on with both...

Why Roadies Don't Smile-funny article I just read

I think the reason most don't smile might have something to do with their seat?

handlebar rise or longer goose neck?

You could break a fork too, or a pedal, or etc....... , but how often do we hear about those? Clearly it would only make sense to have an idea of what type of riding you're planning on when picking out parts like these.....

    Groundbreaking Trike?

Nobody afraid here. I doubt you're much older than a lot of us here. Deal is, there's this thing called respect..... You want a trike like this, go for it!

    Groundbreaking Trike?

All what weeks? You just started this 4/12..... Speaking for myself for sure, and likely the others, you did ask for opinions, right? Why so pissy when you get them?

Properly Rated Fuses for an eBike

Curt, the issue is that you can "cheat" on the electrical ratings, going to a draw that's WAY higher than the rating (safely!), but you can only do that until things start getting warm..... I have 3 bikes with 500w motors, all using aftermarket KT controllers that will basically pass anything...

    Groundbreaking Trike?

My bet is Tom would like to draw on your previous experience to share a thought, or if you're a little light on that, share his in the hope you may find some relevance. He's just trying to give you a hand. That's how things work around here. BTW, you can ignore it if you like, but failures...

shifting down under strain on Prodigy

This isn't about the pause you generally take when shifting, it's about the electronic delay turning the power back on. It's not something you notice much normally, or maybe I should say I don't notice it much, unless you get into the scenario where the bike is barely moving, on the brink of...

    Groundbreaking Trike?

I see that quote further down that same page! With all the UL hoopla, you'd think they'd want to get their story straight wouldn't you?

    Groundbreaking Trike?

I read through the add, and the thing that drew my attention right away is this: 48V*20Ah UL-Recognized Battery Pack Is that ANYTHING like UL certified?

shifting down under strain on Prodigy

I have a Bafang Ultra powered bike with that same function (shift sensor). I generally don't even notice it's there, but at low speeds and low cadence levels, if I need to downshift RIGHT NOW for something that's come up unexpectedly, there's a good chance I'm going to stall the bike due to the...

    Speed vs battery life

It's a matter of knowing the bike. I have a battery that's several years old too, and the AVERAGE miles between charges hasn't change that much (yet!).
