More Rad lawsuit fallout? (good for the consumer)

I've had trouble with 2 different bikes equipped with Zoom brakes. The rear brake can be an absolute PIA if it gets air in it - and I generally know what I'm doing when bleeding brakes. Yes, that includes back feeding the system from the rear brake.....

    Upgrade a new bike?

And further, he could give a damn about anything "Specialized" has to say about what his riding position should look like..... let alone some "expert" that thinks I should care about anything "Specialized".... Point being, for MANY reasons I'm not going to get into here, I'll never own a...

    Upgrade a new bike?

Here's the deal. If I want to change the handlebars that's what's going to happen. I have no need to justify why or what with some "expert" whose riding needs are very likely vastly different from my own.... The only thing I find "strange" here is is some "expert" claiming his favorite bars are...

    Upgrade a new bike?

X2! You buy it as close as you can, then start personalizing it! Tires, seat/seat suspension, whatever you need to do to get the handlebars comfortable/where you want them, chain ring size, etc. etc. etc........... The more you ride, the pickier you get! Most people will never realize just how...

    Rize RX first day

    1. My bad. I was thinking you were talking RX Pro, which is a fatty. 2. No, I used the stock OEM chain as well.

    Rize RX first day

Regarding the use of the 44t in stock form, keep in mind a bike with 4" tires isn't really set up to ride at the speeds you apparently are running, or want to run. That's the beauty of bikes using generic parts. Buy whatever you want, as close to how you want it, then proceed to make it yours...

    Groundbreaking Trike?

Well, thought here now (because you've now shared the fact that you are old and have all this experience under your belt), is why you STILL believe this trike is "ground breaking"? You've asked for, and received, examples of other trikes that might challenge your thoughts on this bike, yet you...

    Groundbreaking Trike?

Ground breaking maybe, for those with little/no e-bike experience.

Graduating from 1 bike to 2

We struggled with the price on our first/early bikes as well. So much so I built our first bikes! Now, several years (and several bikes) later, realizing how much and how often they are used, we've found it's MUCH easier to justify the nicer (and more expensive) bikes. Nothing to get carried...

Have to pedal like crazy to reach max speeds.... wrong gearing?

You're aware that the manual shifted CVT's must be completely unloaded to shift correctly, right? You have to literally stop pedaling long enough to upshift (when accelerating). Just letting up on the pedaling pressure while upshifting may not unload it enough! Downshifting is much more easily...

    Electric motor issue

You need to answer the highlighted question. Sure there's a chance the issue is electrical, but if you can't turn the crank/pedals (forward) and have the rear tire turn, you may have a mechanical issue - not electrical.

What's up with the steering head angle? The front tire hits the frame...

At the very minimum, there SHOULD be room for the front fender to ride comfortably between the tire and the frame. So tire hitting frame is NOT normal. Something is bent, broken, or assembled improperly. If the fork has been assembled with the brake caliper and disc on the left side of the bike...

My DIY builds: GMAC, BBSHD, 9C RH212, CYC Photon, ToSeven DM01

I refused to use those clamps. Nicest workmanship available by any of us is turned to crap with their use IMHO. I've found that "link" used between the torque arm and the bike frame can be easily/neatly made from scrap alum. laying around the shop. Just a matter of cutting it to length and...

Budget E-Bike list of Full Suspension, Integrated Batteries 900-2000$

Regarding Amazon "returns", suggest you be familiar (REALLY FAMILIAR) with the fine print regarding warranty concerns. It's not going to be the same policy as a pair of shoes that don't fit or a toaster that arrives DOA. I'll guarantee you that...... You may end up paying the freight to have it...

Traveling home from vacation with Giant ebike. Rain in forecast

Agreed! Light problems, and the plate visibility issue, are easily resolved. The harder part it seems, is just recognizing/realizing the issue is present. Speaking for my own experience, it wasn't until I was following a car with completely blocked brake lights (for miles!) that it dawned on me...

Just make sure your lights (all of them!) and license plate are visible from behind when your done. I've seen barbecue covers used too!
