Poll - Did you upgrade from Cadence Sensing to Torque Sensing?

Rome, my apologies, allow me to clarify my question. Electric bikes all have a PAS (Pedal Assist System) In a "Cadence" controlled PAS mode, the power delivered to the motor varies with the speed of the pedal cranks. Like my first gen Aventon Level, or BBSHD Fat Bike. Cadence is defined by...

I've not needed my throttle since I got torque sensing a 16 months ago, but I do have one.

Eyes on the road at all times! Yeah, this one is really robust. It has a breakaway feature which is important as I do a lot of riding in the woods and trails where tree branches are always a problem. EVT Safe Zone Helmet Mirror

"Best advice for new ebike riders" from us

Wear head, chest, shoulder, and knee protection. Lights, lots of bright, flashing lights Don't share the road with cars. Stay off of roads. If you cannot avoid roads for 90% of your ride, you might consider a different hobby. Just my opinion. There is a reason that NHTSA keeps stats on cyclists...

Evolution Of An E-Biker - From Aventon Level, to DIY BBSHD Fat Bike, to CF Luna Cycle Z1 Enduro, to Frey Savannah CC, to Rohloff Hub.

$2,075 all in, including a new rim. I understand your usage of the phrase "set you back", but I am convinced the expenditure moved me forward. It has added to my joy of riding immensely, it will reduce my long term maintenance time and cost. The investment will pay dividends well into the...

Do you support the US federal E-BIKE act?

How about everyone just pay their own way? We run a 2 trillion deficit. Where do you think this magical money comes from, to by a product that is almost 100% made in China? It gets passed on as debt to your neighbors and children, and grandchildren. No matter how you cut it, it doesn't make...

Still considering changing from Rad Rover (and Rad)

$3,000 will get you a good bike. On the rear suspension: YOU DESERVE IT! (almost) everyone that does not have a rear suspension says "you don't need it", "you can get by without it", "use a suspension seat post", etc. Those that have ridden with a full suspension for a while, whether it 's on...

    Controller and display swap

Your Controller looks like a KT Brand controller, which will work with either of these displays, each of which will give you control over a wide variety of parameters. But you need to verify that it is a KT Controller. Display 1: KT-LCD3 Display 2: KT-LCD8H I installed the LCD8H on my Aventon...

Bafang Ultra what’s the difference between G510 and M620

Not that I am aware of. My is Ultra not silent, but it is damn quiet, now after breaking in with Corn Head grease. My friend has Sondors Rockstar w/Ultra. We've been riding together 4 days a week for 2+ years. His motor is considerably louder than mine even after he installed Corn Head grease...

Bafang Ultra what’s the difference between G510 and M620

Here are the tools you will need to remove the motor and open it. Start with your bike upside down, I think it's easier. Remove the chain from the chainring Remove the right and left cranks with the 8mm Hex and Crank Remover tool. (I don't remove the left crank, it's optional) Remove the...

Bafang Ultra what’s the difference between G510 and M620

I believe the torque rating is the same for both motors. I've got both, they feel the same, but the BBSHD is Cadence sensing, and the Ultra is Torque sensing so there is no real world comparison. They both have enough power to snap a chain of that gives you an idea of thier power.
