Seattle Times article: "E-bikes make commuting a breeze"

Finally ordered my first ebike last Friday after commuting to work on a non-ebike for almost 3 years now. With an ebike, my wife won't have to pick me up at the bottom of the hill for the final mile-and-a-half of my commute. I'll have the assistance I need to pedal it on my own. An ebike will...

    2018 RadRover Full Fenders?

While on Facebook yesterday, I came across MRI-Denver that makes a rear fender for the RadMini. I emailed them to ask if they have one for the RadRover. They told me it will be up on their website soon but it requires the RadRover rack for mounting. Here's a sneak preview pic they sent me.

Seattle Times article: "E-bikes make commuting a breeze"

Was in Seattle last week. I think the worst was trying to drive through Tacoma at ANY hour.

Finally got my first E Bike

@CodyDog Did you check Rad's Where to Ride page? Not sure where you live, but there appears to be quite a few options. If you're on Facebook, or know someone that is, you could post a ride request on the Rad Power eBikes Owners Group page. Not sure what kind of response you would get, but worth...

Finally got my first E Bike

Thanks. I hate to pay $400 shipping to anyone; however, after reading through the "post-order" experiences from buyers of Rad bikes and other direct-to-consumer companies I felt Rad was the best option within my $2k budget. Most direct-to-consumer companies won't ship to Honolulu and eLBS modest...

Finally got my first E Bike

Congrats on your new bike! My ebike research journey started in October last year and after a couple of financial setbacks I finally ordered a RadRover yesterday morning when Rad enabled online ordering again. No Velofix in Honolulu so I'll be assembling myself, but I'll take it to a trusted LBS...

Which Laptop for Bicycle Touring ... ?

For traveling to keep up with emails, web browsing, edit an occasional doc, etc. consider a Chromebook. Very long battery life and lightweight and plenty of apps to download to get work done. We use them for remote access to troubleshoot Windows PCs.

    Tariffs and eBike Prices

Dell is the only company I know that reimbursed the local NC government for the incentives it received after it decided to close its plant. There may have been some other back door monies that they kept, but most of us were surprised that they gave back what they did. I'm sure the bean counters...

    Tariffs and eBike Prices

Good point. The Philippines is becoming the new India when it comes to Help Desk centers. The point-of-sale vendor I sometimes I have to call is there. Vietnam is becoming popular for furniture building.

    Tariffs and eBike Prices

There are old textile towns like Mt. Airy, NC that would gnaw off their right arm to get a bike company to move in. They've got the buildings and the workforce or used to. Dell came and left Kernersville, NC leaving their HUUUUGE complex behind but Herbalife is moving in. One of Caterpillar's...

    Tariffs and eBike Prices

@Timpo IF there's no tariffs on the raw material or the components made from the raw material then yes. How did Japanese automakers get around the tariffs placed on their automobiles imported into the US? They started building them here. The real question is will the new tariff on ebike engines...

    Tariffs and eBike Prices

The engine parts will be made overseas, but they'll be assembled here to avoid the tariff on an "engine." It's not an engine until it's assembled. Saw the same thing happen here with a sandal company. Components such as straps, soles, bling, was made overseas but assembled here in Hawaii by...

    Juggernaut Ultra Kickstand

Word of caution...if the kickstand is adjustable by a screw that can be completely removed use blue Loctite on it once you've found the correct height. I got an adjustable kickstand from Amazon a couple of months ago and the adjustable height screw vibrated loose leaving half of my kickstand...

Having trouble getting replacement parts for a BAFANG MM G330.250

Didn't know that. Reach out to Thomas Jaszewski here in the forum. He installs ebike kits. I think he does it for a living.

Contact Biktrix. Their Classic Juggernaut has the BBS02 integrated into the frame. Roshan can probably help you out.

    Lishui LSW784-45-3M vs LSW1106-58-10F Controller

Thanks for the link. Interesting read even though on their older model. Sitting on the fence again trying to decide between Voltbike and Rad. Voltbike is accepting pre-orders, but Rad just got stock in and is taking orders (phone and online) starting at 9 a.m. PT tomorrow on a first come first...

    Lishui LSW784-45-3M vs LSW1106-58-10F Controller

I rarely come up empty with online searches but the best I could do was determine that the manufacturer is Nanjing Lishui Electronics Research Institute Co., Ltd. You can try and email them at scheftlein(Link Removed - No Longer Exists)lsdzs.com and see if they can help you. I can't even find a...
