COLEEN - The Ultimate Class 3 Ebike

That bike looks awesome. Would love to see some reviews.

    Dost or Rize

A huge difference is that the DOST bikes are cadence sensing only, whereas the Rize RX has torque sensing as well. It's a pity that you probably can't test drive the bikes first, since that would let you know which system you prefer. But as a rule of thumb, most people prefer torque sensing. I...

Pictures - Zen Samurai Diamond and Wave designs

I'm still blown away by how slick and stealthy these bikes look. Just beautiful! And it's a comparatively small detail compared to everything this bike offers, but the ZEN logo looks simple and elegant. Can't wait for the reviews to start rolling out and to get my hands on a Zen Diamond!

Mid Drives that have a throttle?

DOST e-bikes are mid drive and have a throttle. But note that they are cadence sensing only (i.e., no torque sensor).

    Medeo T10+ in Canada?

Hi Ravi, thanks for your recommendation. The Zen Samurai Diamond has some great options and specs! When do you think this bike will be available for purchase? I'm definitely interesting. :)

    Medeo T10+ in Canada?

Got it, thank you for your response. Damn though - what a complete bummer! I want a high quality bike, but don't think I can justify spending $4000+ for a bike that can't go faster than 30km/h. The DOST Kope seems great (mid drive, integrated battery, integrated lights, class 3), but I want...

    Medeo T10+ in Canada?

Hi everybody, After a lot of research, I have determined that the bike for me is the Gazelle Medeo T10+. However, I have been unable to find this bike in Toronto or Vancouver. I can find the regular version, but not the class 3 + (28mph) version. This is strange to me, since many Canadian bike...

    Medeo t10+ or Dost Kope

I have a concern with the Ultimate t10+ (a concern that would hold even more for the Medeo t10+): I'm not concerned that it can handle steep hills, when the DOST presumably could due to it's stronger motor. For example, check out this review at around the 25:15 mark: It seems like Ultimate...

    Medeo t10+ or Dost Kope

Argh. Okay this is very useful. I was going to order an Aventon Level or DOST Kope in the next 24h, but now I'm thinking I should open my wallet a bit further and get a torque sensing Ebike. The Gazelle Medeo/Ultimate does check off almost all my boxes (no throttle, but I'll survive), but it's...

    Medeo t10+ or Dost Kope

okay, perfect, thanks. So it comes down to cadence/torque sensing, rather than outright power. And your analogy really helps me understand that difference. Thank you.

    Medeo t10+ or Dost Kope

What makes the Bosch motor better? The Kope's motor is "Bafang BBS02, 750 watt, 120nm of torque". As a non expert who hasn't experienced either motor, it seems like the Kope's engine seems stronger (and comes backed with a 2 year warranty). it's also a class 3. So why do people prefer the Bosch...

    Medeo t10+ or Dost Kope

I think the Medeo is the better bike in almost every way, isn’t it? Ive heard some people argue that the kopes motor has more power overall, but most still seem to favor the more modern Bosch motor that the medeo offers (that is beyond my level of expertise). The medeo also offers both cadence...

Hills: DOST Kope, Aventon Level, or Ride1Up 700

Hi everybody, I am looking to buy my first ebike. I will be using it daily to get to work and back in Vancouver. While I haven't moved to Vancouver yet, my understanding is that it has pretty hilly terrain. According to googlemaps, there is a 101 meter increase in elevation from my future...

Hi everybody, I'm looking into getting an ebike. I will ride it everyday to work and back in Vancouver, rain or shine. While I don't live in Vancouver yet, my understanding is that it is very hilly. According to googlemaps, there will be an approximate 101 meter increase in elevation from where...
