Wow that FLX Blade hits almost my entire wish list... Thanks for the link! Now to figure out if their frame and wheels can support my fat rear :)

What is your current e-bike, and what do you hope will be your next?

I've got an E-Lux Tahoe Sport that I really love. I love the overall feel of the bike (although it is a bit on the bike/tall side), but now that I've had it for almost a year and have done a couple thousand miles I know what I want on whatever my 'next' bike will be, though it's a bit of a...

    Time To Discuss Torque Ratings.....Again.

Had a little sit on that Harley motorcycle at CES. Really interesting thing with that electric motor on and humming under you at 60mph!

I will be getting one of these!

I'm not that surprised - I stopped by their booth this week and they seemed.. not very in-tune or interested in e-biking? It was odd. I think they were mostly just looking for buyers/retailers, but they come off very clueless.

My Thoughts on Mid Drive..Hub Drive and Throttle

I think the one thing hub drives will never have is the gear multiplier. I think, generally speaking, they're quite good for most any application. But one place that a mid drive will always win is that huge incline where you're in your granny gears, they're just too much of a force multiplier on...

    Swapping out wheels

Fat tire bikes do amazingly well on gravel, why the desire to swap?

Step thru fat tired ebike needs hitch rack, just realized problem this creates

It might not fit the budget, but I love my Saris - https://www.saris.com/product/superclamp-ex-2 It would have no issue with that bike, or being a step through.

    Suspension Seat Posts

Luckily I was not misinformed. It has the default spring, the one that comes with the seat. Which maxes out at 180lbs as I said, and which is working fine for me.

Where To Purchase E-Bike Batteries ?

I've been considering the same - I was looking at sellers on Aliexpress like this one but have no experience with this sort of thing.

The Suntour didn't fail, as I said. It just wasn't tuned correctly. I had assumed it couldn't be, since they say their max is 180lbs, but it is clear they can go well over that and perform very well.

    Suspension Seat Posts

So I was about to pull the plug on either one of Cane Creek's eeSilk posts or the KINEKT 2.1 Aluminum XL2 (I'm a big guy). Currently my bike has a Suntour SP12 NCX and I wasn't very happy with it. I'm obviously a larger guy and it wasn't really holding up or helping much. But just then my...

Riese & Muller Superdelite GT Touring HS Vs Trek ALLANTE +9.9 with Range boost

I did see a recent video preview/review of it and they said the 100nm motor felt weaker than some 75nms they've tried, it was disappointing to hear. Also dual battery but each battery is only 10Ah which is also a bit disappointing, it's no different than a single 48V 20A that you can get on a...

I haven't seen anyone mention Cane Creek's eeSilk post. Has anyone tried it?

Gas powered electric bike... would it be legal??

It'd be interesting if someone worked out the math. How much gas would it take to charge a battery? Is that more or less efficient than carrying a spare battery or two? How fast doe sit charge?

    Battery Percentage Display

This is true - one thing I've also found is that (under heavier loads/assist levels) that it depletes a bit more slowly at the top end, and faster as it gets lower. So if it took 3 volts to get somewhere, it might take 4 to get home.

    Pedal Assist controls

This sounds pretty nice! With my current bike, each level of pedal assist is really just a 'Speed that the bike will quickly get up to'. It'd be nice to be able to fine tune it more for times I'm behind someone on a trail that I can't really pass but they're going like 2mph below the next assist...

How fast have you gotten your E-Lux to?

I've gotten my Tahoe Sport up to 28 on flat ground but I have to help out a good bit - I imagine it could do it easier if you were a normal sized person (half my size, or so! lol). But generally I cruise in assist level 3 (18mph) or 4 (~24 mph) and it maintains it no problem when the battery is...
