    Gear Inches Question: 28.3 v 27

We are also waiting for the vaccine! But we have been riding by ourselves and try not to interact with other people. That's working our well, though we are somewhat limited by the availablilty of...porta-pots... Some parks have taken away their porta-pots and we don't want to go into gas...

    Gear Inches Question: 28.3 v 27

No, I did not ride the trails with the Neo 1. It was years ago (1992?) and we had our skinny-tire road bikes with us. We rented Cannondale! mountain bikes to do the carriage roads. Even though the roads are well maintained, I think I would like the Neo SE on those roads better than the Neo 1...

    Gear Inches Question: 28.3 v 27

Hi, It sounds like you will be leaning toward the Neo SE. It will be great on the roads and trails you like most. For both bikes the range is awesome! I ride mostly paved roads with friends; dirt roads and cinder trails just occasionally, so the Neo 1 is perfect for me. If I wanted to ride the...

    Gear Inches Question: 28.3 v 27

Hi again timacn, I think the big difference between the two bikes that you are considering is the terrain / road surface you will be mostly riding on. Although the lowest gear on both bikes is similar, the high gear is higher on the Neo 1 with the 50 tooth chainring, vs the Neo SE which has the...

    Cannondale Synapse Neo 1 (2020) - 1 month review...

Hello timacn, Welcome to the e-bike world! To answer your questions... Q1: I have done one 100 mile ride with 3500 ft of climbing on one charge. I think I could have gone another 20 miles or so. I used mostly eco mode with a little bit of tour mode. I didn't set any speed records since I was...

You have quite the rig there! Those knobbies are great to avoid flats! I hardly ever got a flat on my mountain bike, and I do think they are making all tires more flat-resistant. But when we do get a flat on the road, we are used to fixing it rather than asking for help. I guess that's from...

I will try to post a photo of my Cannondale Synapse Neo 1 and a closeup of the pump that I have. This pump has worked to get high enough pressure to seat the bead on my 'tubeless ready' wheels and tires. It was a workout, but I succeeded! I hope it works in the future when I get another flat...

Anthony, It sounds like you have been through the wringer. Kudos to you for your ability to 'adapt, overcome, and improvise'. I found that I am also somewhat fragile as I broke a hip last March. It healed well, but now I have interesting hardware. I am a little spooked to even walk where it's...

I like the way you think! Black ice does scare me, though! On Sunday I used 1 pair of toe warmers, and 3 pairs of hand warmers, and was OK. I duct-taped 2 hand warmers together for each hand and put them on the backs of my hands in my lobster mitts and the remaining pair I duct-taped to the...

Thanks, I'll check them out. The speed of inflation is important to seat a 'tubeless' ready tire, so a shot of CO2 may do the trick.

Hello Anthony, I'm so sorry about your sister and that you cannot visit her to say goodbye in her last days. The same is going on here and it is so hard on families. Sigh... Another member of this forum (percymon) and I had the same idea today about the flat tire problem. I had an old CO2...

Aha! I just found my CO2 inflator this morning to pump up a much narrower tire. I thought I could pump my larger volume tire mostly full with my mini-pump then give it a quick shot of CO2. Or...get a larger CO2 canister that would work with the larger volume tire. Are larger canisters available?

Thanks for the model of the Altura bag! I found it online in the US for about the same price. Haven't ordered it yet, though. Yes, we had a spectacular fall this year with the color lasting much longer than usual for some reason. The mountains have been lovely! Question: Have you had a flat...

Hello, Anthony Shambles is an understatement for what is happening here! I fear for our democracy which has been 'thrown under the bus' the last 4 years...and may be still under the bus during the next 4. Sigh... Moving on... and the great part is that we CAN be moving on...our Cannondales! My...

Hello Antbrewer. I also have a Cannondale Synapse Neo 1. I like what you have done with the fenders and the front bag. Might I ask what front bag you have? I have a smaller bag but will want something larger eventually. I see that you tweaked the controller position slightly, as I have for my...

    Cannondale Synapse Neo 1 (2020) - 1 month review...

I also have the Cannondale Synapse Neo 1 e-bike (2020 version bought in November 2019). I live in the US and have MPH readings, not KPH. My motor very unobtrusively and gently cuts out at 20 mph. I can feel it continuing to assist at lower speeds, say 18 and 19 mph. You may have the European...

    Hi from New Hampshire

I am a 77 yr old woman with a lot of ...slow... biking experience. I got a Cannondale Synapse Neo 1 E-bike in Nov 2019 and now have about 2100 miles on it. I had originally thought that I could just go even slower up hills on my regular bike as I aged. This assumption fell apart when my speed...
