    eMTB Options For 2024

Thanks for the heads up. If that's the case, I'll likely have my LBS do it to save some of the hassles. If I get in there on a slow weekday, they sometimes can fit me in while I wait. Hope they work out for you. Perhaps a quick review would be cool. ;)

    eMTB Options For 2024

I am leaning towards the JW tires for my next set due to their tread design. I am also starting to see them 'in stock' on more websites than I did a short while ago.

    eMTB Options For 2024

It is going to get to a point when homeowners will have to take out a HELOC just to buy their dream bike. Like you mentioned in another post, 'not a cheap date' for sure.

    My dirt cheap bike carrier

Yeah, the Crest2 you have referenced is just about identical to mine. I had to expand the hoops a bit to fit my eMTB 2.8 inch wide tires. A tight fit, but it works. No need to buy the accessory hoops made for wider tires. 👍

    Chain Slipping On Smallest Gears!

    This thing is a Drug

Mine has a large "Made in Germany" sticker on the chainstay. Seems like there are so many good companies/mfgs coming out of that country. 👍

"Welcome to the party Pal" 😁 (line from the movie Die Hard) Gjack! I can relate to your amusing story! I also can say: 'My first real MTB was a Trek 7000 - hard tail'. purchased back in 1992. Many miles on that machine and made in Waterloo,Wisc.USA! Transitioned to Ebikes and yes, I can say it...

    Chain Slipping On Smallest Gears!

Thanks for the heads up. Do you install them yourself, and if so, is it a pretty straight forward swap?

    Chain Slipping On Smallest Gears!

Good call. I am beginning to think I may do the same thing with small cogs from Ali Express. 👍

    Chain Slipping On Smallest Gears!

Is that on a mid-drive or a rear hub drive E-bike?

    Chain Slipping On Smallest Gears!

Great, that's interesting. I think I'll try that next time around and see if these replacements work for my SunRace.

    Chain Slipping On Smallest Gears!

Some of the smaller cogs from Ali Express in your link are aluminum. I thought it was better to use the ones made of tensile steel which could handle E-bike motor tension much better. In addition, I am not seeing a compatibility chart. JMHO!

    Chain Slipping On Smallest Gears!

This will happen. I just had the same issue with the 2 smallest cogs (11t-13t) wearing 1st causing more chain slippage after a new chain was installed. Those cogs probably have to be changed. In my case, I could not find replacement cogs for the SunRace cassette, so I just purchased a new...

    Husqvarna ebikes??????

No but I would absolutely love to along side of a KTM Ebike, however, to my knowledge, they are not available in the USA. Very beautiful designs indeed!

Police - questioning the power rating of your E-bike? or Ticketing you?

In my past 4 years of riding, I have not had any encounters at all. When a LEO passed me on the trail, I just received looks of admiration with a kind head nod. Exactly true regarding 'do not ride like a reckless idiot' and you s/b fine (for now).

    My dirt cheap bike carrier

I have been using a 2 bike SportRack for nearly 20 years and it looks and functions close to new condition. Served me well. I use it for a 45# E-bike within rated specs..

The infamous Motobecane HAL E-MTB. I bought one…

"I hate the gestapo tactics of Bosch"- Try using a speed delimiter on one of their motors. It can potentially get 'bricked' if/when you have software diagnostics done by a Bosch certified rep. Not sure if it can be 'un-bricked' at that point or not.

loading/unload ebike from platform bike rack

I will be purchasing a Kuat carrier and it is higher off the ground than my current rack which is approx 12 inches off the ground. This technique will come in handy for me as well. Thanks for posting.

loading/unload ebike from platform bike rack

My 2 cents- I have also used the plastic milk crate method to lift my eMTB onto a bike work stand. The same could apply when lifting your bike onto you bike carrier. I think I'll try Court's method as well. Nice heads up. 👍

loading/unload ebike from platform bike rack

You would think, right? Looks like when you get into a 3 bike carrier, it knocks it down to 40lbs per bike for all 3 mounted. I am interested in the 1 bike carrier right now @ 60lb limits. I made sure I verified my intended use with the company rep via chat and they gave me the thumbs up. Good...
