    Yamaha YPJ-MT Pro

I see your points. This season, I added the Garmin Edge 800 coupled with Display X works quite well. The Garmin is removable so I take it with me all te time when the bike is left unattended. I also do the same with another display on a BH Easy Motion Evo Jet "Heads Up" display. It slides off...

Canyon E-bikes coming in 2021 to USA!

Congrats on your new purchase. Sorry to hear about your charging port incident. This will be a good test to see how well Canyon does followup with the USA customer base. That is a beautiful bike indeed. I also like the fact that the box is well designed and re-usable. How do you like the overall...

    eMTB Options For 2024

Perhaps different specs for different branded tires? I have not had any problems with my current 'stock' setup thus far. Interesting though...

    Yamaha YPJ-MT Pro

I see that Yamaha is still using the same interface/display unit as they have on previous years models. That was another one of the selling points when I purchased my E-bike with the PW-X motor. However, I have seen other editions using the "Side Switch" interface (display A) similar to the...

    Ducati Announces e-MTB

I really dig the look of these bikes. The MIG 2.0 in particular catches my eye with the sleek design and battery graphics. Thanks for posting!

Handlebar Jack - A new Ultra Portable Bicycle Repair Stand.

Yes, this is very important to remember. I have found that my Magura brakes are highly sensitive to inverting the bike for any length of time. I try avoiding it if I can. Had an issue with brake lever travel and had to bleed the system. So far so good.

Are you going to ride in snow?

Not something I ever look forward to, that's for sure. If I can avoid it I will. I much rather drive north and rent the awesome sleds to ride on "groomed" trails with banked curves and incredible control in the snow. When on an E-bike or any bike, is another story altogether. Perhaps if I tried...

    Schwalbe's new tube? Aerothan

Ahh okay, thanks for clarifying. Just recently, when buying tubes, my LBS recommended an extra thick tube over the standard ones for a few extra dollars. I went with the thicker version and they seem to be holding up quite well. Based on your statement, they are most likely Butyl. I'll check the...

    eMTB Options For 2024

"2.8 from a fellow member here, but have since found out it's kind of oversized for the 35mm wide rim".- You indicated kinda oversized meaning they do not fit inside the fork clearance or the tires are too large for the rims? Mine came stock with 584X35mm wide sized rims with Nobby Nics 2.8s...

    Schwalbe's new tube? Aerothan

The attached article states: "Butyl is still obviously the least expensive, and latex is still the fastest". TBH I was always was under the impression that I have been purchasing "latex" tubes from my LBS most of the time. Is Butyl a very common rubber material when purchasing tubes in general...

    Schwalbe's new tube? Aerothan

"buying a light e-bike with a light-assist motor is add a bunch of heavy components". Makes perfect sense to keep it light all the way through. The lightest weight measurements you could achieve with add-ons seems to be the best choice. I test rode a super lightweight BH with a small 250watt...

    Contaminated Brake Pads

Good call. Sometimes I get lazy on the fly and just spray and go. I also used an old (empty) bottle of Tri-Flo as a dropper and that also worked okay.

    eMTB Options For 2024

Chris-Nice comparison on the tire tread configurations. Looks like the Ikon would be best suited as an all-rounder style out of the 3 you have referenced. The DHF on the front looks like that would be the safest bet for any aggressive downhill rides. I would think the chunkier the better for...

No kidding! I have formed the habit of "on your left" announcement, however, they sometimes respond to it, but never moved to the left (yet)!

    Yamaha YPJ-MT Pro

Very cool and well equipped bikes indeed. The YDX here in N/A was only available in a hard tail for awhile until they finally released it in a full suspension version. Love the color schemes they are using on the YPJ-YZ! Good selling point IMO! Good Luck with your purchase!

    Contaminated Brake Pads

Hey join the club. I had the same exact issue while using a spray can of FL Teflon spray for chains. I looked up a YT video with comprehensive instructions on how to degrease bike brake pads. Took some time, however it did the trick. I now have plastic available anytime I am using any type of...

    eMTB Options For 2024

I also like this concept. I was always use to the outer bar ends. These remind of the ergonomics applied to the "Logitech MX Master" computer mouse that has the same gripping position.

First impressions: BMC Alpenchallenge AMP Cross LTD

Congrats on your new bike purchase. Your in depth review is very informative. I like the design of the Jones Bars. They look like they will serve the purpose you are looking for. Good luck with all of your other mods. I can relate to going faster on a hill in Eco, but at the same time getting a...

Cube Nuride arrived. Terrible quality control?

Great to see you have your issue resolved. No threads on a crank arm seems quite unusual, however, strange that QC did not catch that before shipment to customer. I have always believed Cube to be a great brand with many nice designs. 15 pounds comp is laughable considering all of the flaws you...
