Body Float Suspension Seat Post Thoughts

Dear Dashriprockster, I suspect that for Shea, who puts an amazing number of miles on his bike, the Bodyfloat is going to be the best choice. I was puzzled by two things in this thread, first that Shea feels that the Bodyfloat is so much better than the others without experiencing them, and...

Body Float Suspension Seat Post Thoughts

Hey Lenny The crazy thing to do would be to order a Tbuster, a Bfloat, and a Suntour and try all three. A lot of us feel like the sweet spot is the Suntour when we get it for under $100. I love mine and it does an excellent job.

Dash rider, the first 1,700 miles.

Hey Che, thanks for the input. My bike just went into the shop to have the BB replaced and they say the front brake pad is shot at 600 miles. Urban riding. When you suggest that you may swap to hydraulic brakes what do you plan to do about the levers/brake sensors? Swapping to Avids you just...

    Electric Bike Carrier Racks

Nope, just take off the battery and the lock. Then (2) Dash's = 104lbs and away you go!

    drag in dash rear wheel

Have not experienced that with my Dash, but have experienced only the best customer support from Currie/iZip on every issue raised with them, so suggest contacting them. They will probably post to this topic pretty soon anyway with their thoughts.

    iZip E3 Peak Rear Brake

I am not at all surprised, I am at 550 miles and I've adjusted my brakes several times and carry the tools with me always. I think that is because the bike is heavy and moving very fast while stopping and braking a lot (at least when I am riding it) and that means more wear. I am no expert...

CurrieTech - How to adjust Dash rear brake??

Larry, you might consider getting a set of whatever brake you consider and sending a caliper to a couple people for evaluation. For example, the AVID BB7 has a great reputation and looks to be hand adjustable on both sides of the pad so I bought a set. I will install them, although with my...

CurrieTech - How to adjust Dash rear brake??

Hi Larry, I wish you would commute on a Dash every day, it doesn't work like that. You very rapidly run out of adjustment on the barrel adjusters and then you need to rotate the adjuster at the brake pads. And for a couple reasons I think it is better to adjust the brake travel at the pads and...

    Tektro Dorado

That may be, but the Dash has 160 in the back and 180 in the front, and I like the 180 and would accept the 203 gladly.

CurrieTech - How to adjust Dash rear brake??

Larry, your practice of reading these posts and keeping in touch is pretty impressive, and your customer service people's response attitude goes a long way toward offsetting the issues many of us have had with the new generation of your bikes. Thank you for that! Charly is right, the M375 is...

    Alation Mid Drive review?

I'm pretty good with the whole amps/volts/watts thing and I don't get those numbers to pencil out at all.

If you commute in the wet, you need fenders. Garden hose.

    Electric Bike Carrier Racks

If I had it to do over again, I would do it again. The sway isn't anything on smoothish roads and on highways and freeways it would be a non-issue. Would not take it 4-wheeling however. Loading a heavy bike on the inner position is a drag, on the outer position that I use it's a breeze. Rack...

    My Izip Dash got "Horns"

I have to find a way to ride with my hands 'thumbs up' to take the stess off my wrists, and my style is the opposite of yours, I think. Full speed assist 4 and often full throttle in heavy urban traffic- often standing on the pedals. I find it safest to ride out in the traffic while keeping up...

    My Izip Dash got "Horns"

That is interesting, because I have severe carpel tunnel issues and my wrists have been killing me from riding the bike. MT bars are basically designed to give you severe wrist and arm issues, that's why there are so many accessories like horns to bolt onto them. I have been considering my...

Hey Charly, it looks like you have removed the entire throttle assembly, if not where did you move it. It's a mystery!
