I'm trying to tighten down, but the gold colored side spins freely and the clamp side never tightens down. So basically you slide the pin through, the silver mechanism locks into place but then it won't tighten down anymore and I can't hold it so that it tightens it down.

Both of my bikes are covered for 348 a year no deductible. A little insurance trick is to call the local people.
