I understand your frustration. My battery died after 13 original miles. The derailleur hanger was bent, the brakes were messed not adjusted (just thrown on), and I ended up taking it to a certified bike shop. Funny thing is (well not so funny)..they told me they just fixed one exactly like mine...

My new XP had a failed battery after the first 13 miles (and if that isn't enough), the derailleur hanger was bent and the brakes were not adjusted right. One was too tight and rubbing where you couldn't spin the wheel freely, and the other was too loose where the handle touched the hand grip...

Warning...the XP seat post is a 31.8mm (not 31.6mm)...and yeas it DOES make a difference. I too ordered a similar seat post with a 31.6mm SHIM...it doesn't tightened down enough to be safe. The seat post will not stay stationary.

Its interesting during my research on this eBike and its competitors..is that the "reach" (distance from the rider to hand grips) on this XP model is larger than just about anybody else's design. That was a concern for me and it should be for others who are buying these for shorter folks. Yes...

Look on YouTube for "Sonny Whitehurst"...his channel has a video on his XP pannier modifications...warning...it requires some cutting, sewing and installation of mounting hardware you will need to buy.

I'm curious..what is your height, and what number did you set the handlebar height to?

Those pannier saddle bags were not designed for the XP...so I can't imagine anybody actually paying for these. There are better options for sure. But if you got them free, then I guess there should be no complaints. I received them as well and the first thing I did was cut off those cheap metal...

Does that work stand allow for the rear of the bike to be elevated? It looks to me like there is too much much weight in the rear end to allow for that...so really that only works if all you are doing is working on the front end.

That makes a lot of sense and could explain why the charger and computer were showing a full charge (but several cells were NOT actually charged). Either way, I want a new battery replacement.

Update #2...Jeff, I determined it was the battery even though the display said 10 bars and 48v when it died. I charged the battery full again to 54.9v and everything worked fine again for a while...BUT its obvious the new battery should go more than 13 miles (in my case) on level ground only...
