    Fischer 1865 (Bafang, €1500) vs. Montis 6 (Brose Drive S, €2100)

While hunting for a good deal and having Fischer recommended in response to an earlier question, I am a little torn if I should spend the extra dough. I was wondering if a diamond frame is still needed for stability (it used to be step-through bikes were all wobbly)? If no, I would just have an easier...

Some ideas for choosing the right e bike?Cube Acid Hybrid one 500?

I have ridden the bike and it was great. The very wide tires take time to get used to when turning. The German models are limited to 250W continuous output power. I think there is some wiggle room for the manufacturers to engineer a higher peak power figure. In any case it had plenty of oomph...

Moving to the US - are there any models that can be legally converted to class 1?

I wanted to pick up a bike. We currently live in Germany. We are moving back to the US by end of the year. The regulatory differences are like this: Germany has a 25 km/h (15.5 mph) speed limit, and a 250W nominal, continuous output power limit. Pedal assist only (no throttle). WA state...
