Another easy 10-minute update followed by a boring ride where everything worked perfectly.

I had the same questions about range and the two battery sizes. We will be living in a small town and expect round trips on the bike to be less than 30 miles. There are hills in our area so that will affect range too. I have read on this site where people were achieving 40 to 50 miles in...

Exciting news. TLDR: I bought the Momentum Vida E+ at a large discount! I got to ride four Giant and Momentum bikes today. First was the 2020 Fastroad E+ EX Pro. Loved this bike as it was light, powerful, and well equipped. It was being sold for around $2500 as it was an older model. Only...

    Gazelle Cityzen T10 HMB Speed

The bike turned out to be used and too large a size for me so I never got to ride it.

Nice video. Looks like the Vida would be a better fit for me based in the hills. I’ll compare it versus the LaFree. Thank you very much and Merry Christmas!

Folks any thoughts on the differences between the Transend and Vida? Am I mistaken or are these two bikes pretty similar in components? I don’t think I need the class 3 but do have hills in the neighborhood. I’m considering the LaFree and wondering about these two as well due to the IGH. Not...

Not yet. We are wrapping up our final stuff including family holiday festivities in SoCal before moving up. The LBS there is within three miles of the house and carries Giant and Momentum. I hope to try the LaFree and Vida and perhaps Roam there. I’ll post as soon as I’m done with those...

    Starting my ebike purchase journey

I tried the Gazelle Medeo T9 HMB, IZip Vida, and Groove Step-Thru (built by the LBS). The Cityzen T10 HMB Speed was used and the wrong size for me so I didn’t ride that. I liked the three bikes and all three did well on the climb over and back from the nearby bridge. The Groove is a rear hub...

Appreciate it very much folks. It will now be fun to dedicate more time to my search. As well as our move to the central coast of California of course.

Got it. I first thought about the City but moved on to the other as it was not much more for the Active Line Plus motor and other improvements. Will still ride the Cityzen T10 HMB Speed as well. They have a bridge nearby the LBS that has a good climb so will be able to test them out well...

Appreciate the suggestion but those bikes are unfortunately far above my price range. That is why I am considering the Medeo T9 HMB. I'm hoping to ride one of those in the near future to see if it works for me. I might be tempted into the Medeo T10 HMB as it has the Performance Line motor...

I’m not sure what Giant is doing for MY2022 - wondering if they will release models that compete with the new Bosch systems. I still find Momentum and Liv listed as brands on their US website. Perhaps you have a different region selected? I haven’t heard about any halt in production on them...

    Gazelle Cityzen T10 HMB Speed

Thank you. The review they reference at the shop indicates it’s a 2nd gen. I will ask more questions before trying it. Also I think the suspension is not great compared to the Medeo T9.

I’m not in Vancouver by the way. I’m in California and moving to the central coast of California where there are several shops nearby that will work on Bosch drives. Also this bike I found at the shop is still listed as new so I’m presuming warranty and battery are still fresh but I will ask...

Anyone have or know much about this bike? I know it is older but it’s being offered at $2700 in a local shop. Gazelle Cityzen T10 HMB Speed I’ve also asked on the Gazelle forum. I was considering the Medeo T9 HMB and came across this one for $100 more.

Patricia, which of the two bikes you have do better on hills? Do you have a quick compare and contrast to offer between the Flow and LaFree? I’m trying to find a place to test ride the Flow but haven’t found one close yet.

Agree that is gets pretty complicated with all the factors such as age and ability and terrain thrown in. I’m thinking of a lighter bike with enough oomph to manage the hills so I’m leaning towards a mid drive with a decent battery and at least 7 gears. I think that might work for you as well...

Appreciate the well wishes. Confirmed that the local shops where we are moving to do have some hills that I could try the Trek and Electra bikes on as well as the LaFree E+. Probably do that after Christmas or New Years!
