    Aurora Limited vs. Omega

We owned both, but the wife just got her Omega in early October (without the optional battery). The Aurora LTD has the advantages when comparing standard features (handlebar cadence control, rear luggage rack, front suspension) but we do like the more modern look of the Omega. We just finished...

New to EBR, 2 thumbs up for Sena R2 Helmets

Looks like Red Rock Canyon! First time we rode ebikes (in a guided tour)!

Hey, I believe if the second half of your ride is essentially downhill, you won't have to worry! But you certainly don't want to run out of juice with significant uphills left. The Atlas is a joy to ride, but I've pedaled it at zero pedal assist and it's not very fun. I have 480 miles on mine...

    Enviolo Automatiq CO Controller

Yes, they are standard equipment on the Aurora. It is handy for over-riding the automatic cadence that a user establishes when they set up the hub with the phone app. You can increase or decrease your cadence 'on the fly'. Really not a bad option to have, unfortunately Evelo does not supply...

5 minutes may be possible IF you find the connector behind the frame grommet. As I mentioned in my first post on page 1 of this thread, the connector was buried somewhere inside the frame. I pulled on one wire that seemed to have the most slack and that was a BIG mistake. It pulled apart a...

The "EVO-2 Display" is a slick little pamphlet that comes with the Atlas. Unfortunately, it's incomplete in my opinion. "Advanced Settings" are not entirely locked as shown in my pic (use 1919 to access). The last 3 items on that list can be changed. Here's a few items that I've found are...

You got me there!! I've also encountered some of their website deficiencies when it comes to finding a specific manual. I have usually searched on a topic in their service section but this doesn't always produce results. And as you say, the quick start guide is a dead end! Take a look at...

There are 6 reviews on the Evelo website from actual owners if that helps. Removing the rear wheel off of any hub-motor ebike is probably a bit complex because of wiring. A mid-drive ebike is certainly easier BUT since Evelo is using the Enviolo CVT rear hub, this complicates removal. I think...

YES and YES. There is a lack of documentation on the controller/display which does surprise me since Evelo is an outstanding company. The Atlas is a new model and I believe it replaces the Delta-X which had a similar control system. You can choose 3, 5, or 9 levels of peddle assist by going...

Evelo.com shows a few close-ups of the front and rear axles of the Atlas. The front axle is a quick release type, but not a "skewer" like a 10 speed. It is a tubular mountain bike style axle with a quick release on one end and a knurled nut on the other end. The rear axle appears to be an...

Just returned from 3 weeks in Hilton Head and put 260 miles on the Atlas. In most cases, I charged the battery after 50 miles with about 25% remaining. Very happy with the performance. Used PAS 1 about 99% of the time. Really would like a little less power assist at level 1 since it's easy...

    Aurora Limited Edition Mid-Drive Review

The wife received her ALE in Oct 2021 but it is the newest version with the wireless cadence control and the braced rear frame. The Dapu display is different then from the earlier Aurora Limited and we haven't had any glitches with it. But we are not crazy about the new display simply because...

Did a tire swap, and the brakes flaked out.

Here's my quick solution to flipping the bike and protecting the display/switch gear. Pool noodles or pipe insulation work great.

Evelo has belt tensioning instructions here: https://support.evelo.com/support/solutions/articles/227880-tensioning-a-gates-carbon-belt Basically, you want the belt as loose as you can get without it slipping a cog. Put the bike at max peddle assist and hit the throttle or peddle hard from a...

    Car Rack for Aurora Ltd

This thread is pretty old, but seems to be the best place to update everyone on the Thule EasyFold XT (which I just "discovered" in the parking lot of our local bike trail). Just received mine via Amazon, but they're also available from etrailer.com for the same $800. Obviously not a cheap...

Definitely sounds abnormal. Just checked mine and without peddling, acts just like a moped. Of course, if you're in low gear, acceleration is quick and in high gear, it's pretty sluggish from a dead stop. Interestingly, PAS levels seem to have no effect with throttle only.

UPDATE ON ATLAS RANGE: Currently on my 3rd battery charge and I'm at 45 miles with 31% battery left. Mostly flat terrain here in Northeast Ohio and I'm running PAS 1 most of the time, with an occasional PAS 9 on steep hills! One item of note is the 3 amp charger, unlike any of the other ebikes...

New : Turbo Vado 5.0 IGH Belt Drive

I'm currently using the Saris Freedom 2, which is a very compact and lighweight rack that's rated for (2) 60 lb ebikes (for about $300), BUT loading the inside bike is not real easy with the center post design.

New : Turbo Vado 5.0 IGH Belt Drive

Take a look at the Thule EasyFold. Very slick with a lot of features. Not cheap, but just reduced to $800 at Etrailer.com and Amazon.
