Suggestion: adding Norco support forum for Discussion by Brand & User Reviews

Hi, Can we have a dedicated support forum for Norco (Sight VLT, Fluid VLT and Bigfoot VLT) users under "Discussion by Brand & User Reviews"? https://www.norco.com/bikes/mountain/e-mountain/ Thanks!

Sduro FullSeven LT 3.0 for heavy rider?

The bike’s official weight limit is 265lbs - bike included. I wonder how much reserve is in that figure - assuming very easy use for now (city bike lanes, hard packed trails). Should I risk buying one for carrying my 295lbs?

    2018 Dirt-E+ 1 PRO or 2019 Fathom-E+ 2 (non-pro)?

I am hesitating between these two, local LBS has a final sale on the 2018 Dirt-E+1 PRO (3699 CAD) vs. 2019 Fathom-E+ 2 (non-pro) sells for 3199 CAD. The Dirt-E+ 1 PRO seems to have much higher specs (Pro motor vs. Sport, better shocks, groupset, etc..). In the other hand the Dirt-E+ is likely...

RadMini Step-Thru or Electra Townie Go! 8D?

I saw videos on youtube people putting the rad mini into a sedan (in a Subaru STI to be specific). It is sort of important for me as both my wife and I driving sedans - so adding a hitch mount and the rack would come as additional cost and headache to store, etc.. (and not even sure if its...

    Long term reliability?

Thanks, I most likely go for the RadMini Step-Thru, mainly because of its portability. I just need to research it as there is no way to see the bike in person, and Rad does not accept returns after opening the boxes.

Thanks, ouch, that sounds like an awful lot of problem...

RadMini Step-Thru or Electra Townie Go! 8D?

I just don't like that design, looks like someone just modified a regular bike with added stuff...

RadMini Step-Thru or Electra Townie Go! 8D?

Giant has a step-thru model only at this price, with battery on the rear rack (don't like that solution) I didn't see anything else comfort-bike within this budget (~2500 C$ / bike)...

    Long term reliability?

How is the long term reliability (after some years/couple of thousand miles, when warranty is over) of the Rad bikes? Is there any concern beyond normal wear&tear and regular maintenance (spokes tension, adjustments, etc..)? I saw some reports here about electronics problems (error messages and...

RadMini Step-Thru or Electra Townie Go! 8D?

I am debating between these two as our first ebikes (I need two of them for my wife and me). I am a heavy rider (300 pounds), she is normal built. Comfort is important. We want to use the bikes for recreational city rides, bike lanes/some hard packed trails, nothing extreme, no big hills to...

Pedalling thru restricted zones with both assist and throttle off?

Do you see it being a real issue, or is it just one of those bylaws that nobody enforces as long as you behave?

Pedalling thru restricted zones with both assist and throttle off?

Well, there are different set of rules apply for e-scooters and e-bikes, e-scooters are banned from bike lanes, etc.. e-bikes (pedelec) are treated as bicycles, but municipalities can/do impose specific e-bike bans by bylaws (multi-use trails, parks, etc...)

Pedalling thru restricted zones with both assist and throttle off?

I assume it is a Toronto city bylaw, but I could not find its references so far...

Pedalling thru restricted zones with both assist and throttle off?

It makes sense. Now what I meant above is with reference to below post from a Canadian ebike forum (I'm in Toronto): In City of Toronto Parks electric bicycles may be ridden on parks roads, but motors should not be used on parks paths and trails. This means that on paths such as the Waterfront...

Pedalling thru restricted zones with both assist and throttle off?

I wonder if one could legally "trick" e-bike restrictions by setting assist level to 0 and turning off the throttle - thus pedalling just like a regular bicycle?
