    Throttle and PAS on Scorpion/HyperScorpion

Dunbar, I’m new to the HS, but From what I see so far I can put it in Eco mode, which they say is enough to make it ride like a regular bike, I,e just offsets the heavy weight. Then use throttle when you want or need. I’m 72, and always ride with PAS assist. I haven’t explored all the advanced...

    Throttle and PAS on Scorpion/HyperScorpion

I did a little more research, apparently in the advanced settings you can turn the torque sensor completely off, and only have cadence. From what I read, you cannot turn off the cadence. I to use a slight bit of throttle going up steep hills, although I find the torque sensor works by just...

    Throttle and PAS on Scorpion/HyperScorpion

I have a new Hyper Scorpion, also have a Rad Mini. I haven’t noticed the issue you mentioned, I live on the coast in Oceanside, hills Everywhere I ride. So far, I have found the torque sensing substantially superior to the cadence sensor on the Rad. I was curious about your comment above were...

    Panniers for Scorpion?

Just got my new Hyper Scorpion, love it. I’d like to get pannier, tried a couple different ones from Amazon, either back rack too wide, or turn signals in the way. The one Juiced sells is not for a Scorpion (per their website). Called JUICED, they said they didn’t have any, did know of any...

Fat Tire Bike Hitch Comparo: Saris, Hollywood and Thule

Thules are nice, the XP Pro looks good, if pricey. For me, the videos didn't help much since they are, by necessity based on two specific bikes, which may be slightly different than yours. Made a big difference for me. Until you load your bikes on the rack, no way to really know. Just make sure...

Fat Tire Bike Hitch Comparo: Saris, Hollywood and Thule

Because the Hollywood rack works, and never heard of them? I suspect there are lots of racks that thr sellers will say work perfect, including all three I tried.

Fat Tire Bike Hitch Comparo: Saris, Hollywood and Thule

We all do what we have to. I agree with Vincent. If I tried to put my bikes on the roof, I'd end up scratching something sooner or later.

Fat Tire Bike Hitch Comparo: Saris, Hollywood and Thule

After reading my initial post, I thought I might add a few more comments. The Thule rack had several really nice features, lighter weight, a unique and easy to use hitch pin concept makes putting it the receiver easier. I am 70, and don't leave the hitch in full time, so this was an issue to...

Fat Tire Bike Hitch Comparo: Saris, Hollywood and Thule

After purchasing my Rad Mini last fall, I looked for an platform hitch suitable for the fat tires. I initially purchased the Saris Freedom 2, with the extra fat tire wheel holders. I found it to work very well, easy to load and secure. It is rated for up to 60 lbs, 5 lbs less than my Mini. I...

    Any RadMini people out there

I notice several questions/comments re: re-gering the Mini, it is geared pretty low. I changed the cassete, inexpensive and easy. I posted a several thread here: Just fyi. Seemed easier than changing the front sprocket, and no chain issues...

Check out the Cool new Piaggio Line of Ebikes called Wi BIke

It looks like it has only 3 power settings, can't tell if it has any gears? I would think a minimum of 7 "bicycle gears". Does it have throttle on demand? I couldn't get much from the web site. ).

Easy Freewheel (rear cassette) Change on my RadMini Under $50

That's interesting? The specs say list the front sprocket as 42 T (?). I find rather easy cadence 20 mph, haven't changed the controller to allow higher mph. Are your 52 and 48T RadMinis? Has Rad used different ones, or did you change your? Your correct on the tool, really flat I purchased...

Liberty Trike Electric Tricycle Video Review - Folding Upright

It appears that it is a single speed vs 6 or 7 which seems to be more common? I wonder if a 7 speed freewheel could be added? Sorry if that's a dumb question? Otherwise I like it.

Easy Freewheel (rear cassette) Change on my RadMini Under $50

Love my new RadMini, but found the gearing a bit low for my tastes. Lower than the Rover, probably due to 20" v 26" wheels. After looking on another thread and call Rad, I did the following. Purchased a DP 11/28 Freewheel on Amazon for $32 (free shipping with Prime). (DNP Epoch Freewheel 7spd...
