In the short time I have had my RR, I've charged the battery twice. Both times I removed the battery from the bike. I plugged the power connector into the battery first, and it sparked. Then I plugged the charger into the wall outlet as the instructions suggested. Have other people seen this...

Ha! 1000 miles! I got my first day of sunshine yesterday in the week and a half since I picked up my bike. The Wife and I took a ride on a paved bike trail for about 15 miles. It was great and I was finally able to experiment with all the modes of opperation. The battery guage didn't move...

My bad... I got to ride it again today for a few minutes between rain squals, and at PAS1 I was showing 250 to 700W depending on the grade and how hard I was pedaling. Plus I managed to get the derailleur adjusted so it would go into low gear, maybe that was part of the problem before... :-)...

I used a pair of needlenosed pliars, there is a slot on either side of the fuse. Grab it with the pliars and pull it straight out. My normal size automotive fuse puller was too big to use. The fuse looks like this...

Do you mean to say you're having problems with the battery "not" staying on? If so, when you depress the blue on/off button on the battery, does it stay depressed and does the blue light come on? Or doesn't the on/off button stay pushed in, or doesn't the blue light stay on? Or do you have a...

I've only used my new bike for less than a mile so far, but I noticed that even going up small hills (on PAS 1) while pedaling, the display says I'm pulling over 800 Watts. Would that be consider normal, or will that overheat the motor and cause a problem? Am I doing ssomething wrong??? Mark -

Hey Joe, Thanks for the reply. I'm just thinking if I get out 10 miles somewhere and the battery dies, I'd be hard pressed to get home pedling my Son's Sonders one speed bike back up the hills it took to get to where I am.. Maybe you can pack another battery so you don't get stranded... :-)
