The other cool thing about the Varia is the light will remain solid but flash specifically at the cars it detects. So even if you're not paying attention to screen, or the sound alerts it's still helping. Next time you're in the car, try to look for Varias.

The Redshift stem is very well reviewed. I found that it needs to have the right elastomers fitted, and there is a small break-in period. Even with some of the better brands the component quality should be a lot better. Granted, they don't cheap out on safety. The R&M Load 75 has a $200 suspension fork. An $11-15k cargo bike. $11,000-15,000 USD… and a $200 suspension fork! A lot of those "reviewers" aren't independent, instead...

I do wonder about the Tero as a product. It's really not much of an off-pavement bike. The 4.0 I tried was less capable and comfortable than my Diverge. The Diverge can take some really chunky nasty terrain without beating me up. Vado (full size) just seems like the better all-rounder product...

Did you ever contact them about this? These seat posts should be designed to last many, many years. I hear you though, a bad experience and poor customer support for a premium product like that is souring.

Even though I’m a very happy Redshift owner, I wanted to note that I watched a couple in-depth YouTube comparisons and the Kinect came out on top. For a heavier bike it seems like the more comfortable and better option. Very happy that my Redshift is light enough for my acoustic gravel bike however.
