    Any Prescott AZ emtb riders?

Wife and I are seriously looking at moving there. Just wondering how hard or expensive home owners insurance is when you live amongst the pine trees. Also looking in town but would love to be in the foothills... Well if you are still there in a year or so. I’ll ride with you or try....

    old poll

While my ride to the path/trail is only a couple miles. I do have to ride on a larger street till I get there. It's a major road through the neighborhoods. It's not usually too bad. But does have one bad area with merging traffic where I have to be careful.... But after I get to the...

What EXTRA riding protection do you wear and why? Types, brands, pricing, etc? For street or trail? Age related?

I wear; Fox or Giro helmet - The fox offers more protection for the lower part of the head towards the neck full-finger gloves - Oakley SI Assault Sport Sunglasses that wrap or cover a larger area to ensure nothing gets in - Oakley Jawbreakers Since I ride an eMTB and not a fan of or fit of the...

Simple trick that helps in preventing butt pain on long rides.

Same here, also found that a slight adjustment in my peddle stroke helps too. Rather than just use my legs to push the peddles, I'll rise slightly off the seat and use body-weight to push the peddles down. This gives momentary relief, but the sum of this reduces "butt pain"...

    Using buckets as panniers (DIY)

Not only "cheap" but should you break one, cheap to replace. I like 'em. As I've gotten older, I think some DIY type products show creativity and work very well; like those!

There are always a few things I carry on my bike or take with me in my backpack; Spare tube, patch kit, pump that can be switched between schrader and presta valves, bicycle multi-tool that has a "tool" for every screw/bolt on my bike. If it doesn't I bring a small version of it. I also bring...

Harley Davidson Invests in California Electric Bike Compnay

I thought the same thing too. That the HD brand image may not translate well to the new "target" audience. I think it will be a hard sell. BUT if you watch the new ads they are running, it's a good approach. Rather than focusing on how they own the cruiser segment they are going back to the...

Dork disc... Love it or lose it?

Never knew they had a name up until yesterday! Is this coincidence? ;) Personally I'd leave it till it eventually breaks off which they tend to do anyways...

Harley Davidson Invests in California Electric Bike Compnay

As a Harley owner, glad to see Harley finally branching out. They released pics of their 2020 motorcycle line-up. Which is nice to see motos other than cruisers. I'm not a fan of that MTB design though.... I like the "stealth" look of the Specialized bikes where you have to look hard to...

e-MTB - Flats or Clipped In?

New to ebikes too. Anytime I've ever ridden an MTB it's always had clip-ins. That was years upon years of riding. Watching all these Youtube videos about eMTBs I noticed alot of people were using flats. So I thought I'd give them a shot... What I liked about them was I could position my...

How Many Use a GPS On Their Ebike?

Laughing and crying a bit. When I picked up my Turbo Levo FSR last night, I said "what the heck" and bought the Garmin Edge 520 Plus as the salesman told me that there is an App on it which will provide me with realtime data on my battery. Thats the one thing my Montana wouldn't be able...

Why did you buy make and model?

I pick up my Specialized Levo FSR 6Fattie today. I figured it was the "do anything" type of bike. I used to MTB alot (also did road), and figured an MTB would offer me the greatest diversity regarding where I ride. Back when I only had an MTB, I'd put "Farmer Johns" on it and pumped them...

How Many Use a GPS On Their Ebike?

I have a Garmin Montana I had been using on my ADV motorcycle. When I got a new BMW R1200GSA it came with a NAV VI. So I thought I didn't need my Montana anymore. Was about ready to sell it when I bought my ebike. I've ordered a RAM mount and will use it on my ebike! Saved me 300 bucks from...

    Hi From Denver, CO

Hi, Just getting into ebikes. Picking up my first ebike on Monday, a Specialized Levo FSR 6 Fattie. Age-wise, lets just say I've had my AARP card awhile now. I used to be an avid road-cyclist and mountain biker for many years. Health issues in the past 5ish years, had me giving up riding...
