    Turbo Vado not switching on

I experienced the same problem this spring. I kept the battery indoors over the winter, then charged it fully and installed it on the bike. Bike display and system would not start up. No change when I plugged the bike in. I asked my LBS (Specialized dealer) whether there was any kind of internal...

Turbo Vado 5: too unstable on the kickstand

@twy Thanks for your note. I checked the Portland Design Works website and they have quite a wide variety of kickstands: https://ridepdw.com/collections/kickstands-storage-tools I would be grateful if you could share which version you got for the Como. I know they are different bikes but it...

Turbo Vado 5: too unstable on the kickstand

@Stefan Mikes That’s interesting! I don’t see any way to adjust it and Googling has not identified how. I would be very grateful if you could elaborate.

Vado 4.0 & Burley Bark Ranger

Happened across this thread while starting another one, and thought I would answer my own question from last year in case other folks seek this information. I purchased this Burley thru-axle for use with Vado 5 and the Bark Ranger trailer: 12X1.0 (158-174MM). With that installed, all you need to...

Turbo Vado 5: too unstable on the kickstand

While the kickstand that came on my Vado is sturdy, the bike always wants to fall over despite its implementation. All it takes is a tiny turn of the handlebars, such as due to gravity, and a bike that costs as much as a car crashes heavily to the ground. The first time this happened I assumed I...

Vado 4.0 & Burley Bark Ranger

Thanks - I saw that. I was assuming the OEM product may be optimal, but I’ve seen plenty of favorable reviews for this product so no doubt they are functionally interchangeable.

Vado 4.0 & Burley Bark Ranger

Did you figure out which axle to use? I have the Vado 5 and want to use a Burley trailer.

Burley Hitch on Turbo Como 4.0

Has anyone been able to source the right axle recently? The Burley website makes no mention of the 142-148mm thru axle.

Using a Thule EasyFold rack with a swing away attachment

I already own the Kuat Pivot v2 - just trying to figure out why it should be incompatible with the EasyFold XT. Figured there would be quite a few EasyFold owners on this board, and some of them may use it with a swing adapter.

Using a Thule EasyFold rack with a swing away attachment

For sure a consideration, but the devices have specific stated weight limits that should take this into account. Likewise a rule of thumb is to reduce your vehicle's hitch capacity (tongue weight) by 50% when you use such adapters.

Using a Thule EasyFold rack with a swing away attachment

Yes, we are aware that the rack drops down, but the swingaway makes it much easier to get bikes out of the way when getting dogs and their supplies in and out of the car. I cannot afford to have one injured, or myself when wrangling them! I think I’ll have to simply purchase the rack someplace...

Using a Thule EasyFold rack with a swing away attachment

Bump. I have a Kuat Pivot V2 and am interested in the Thule EasyFold XT rack. I was told by eTrailer that the 2 cannot be used together, so would love to get more ideas on this.

Frame lock for 2022 Vado 5.0 (not SL)

@GuruUno Thanks for responding! Is yours a 5755L or the different 4750X? I think I saw a post from you indicating the latter. The 5755L looks a bit less clunky than the 4750X but not sure I want to bother with removing the wheel to install it, if tha5 is needed. If yours is the 4750X, does it...

Frame lock for 2022 Vado 5.0 (not SL)

Do the 5750L / 5755L require removal of the rear wheel or fender to install the lock?

help me with my Turbo Vado "buyer's remorse"

+1 If you are just returning to riding after the neck problem I would pause on losing $$ to buy a more forward position. I have had a bad neck since my early 30s and the forward/road position is a killer. At the very least ride your regular gravel bike for a few months to see where you are at...
