    Gen3 Ebikes....Gone!

    Thanks. Good idea!

    Gen3 Ebikes....Gone!

Exactly. The battery is the main issue. Not the motor or the Shimano components. But today most batteries can be rebuilt.

    Gen3 Ebikes....Gone!

I wasn’t looking for sympathy! Just trying to contribute some information to the community. For whatever it might be worth.

    Gen3 Ebikes....Gone!

Saw this today on the Gen3 support site: https://support.gen3ride.com/kb/section/56/?_ga=2.56430059.1300094603.1667214587-1246026594.1667214587 Just a reminder that the electric bike marketplace can be volatile. I purchased two Stride bikes earlier this year. I had support issues that were...

Radmini 3rd party rear rack and fenders

It's so disappointing that the largest ebike manufacturer in US (or at least the top seller of ebikes) is unable to fulfill orders for accessories in a reasonable (if ever) time frame. After waiting 6 months for Rad to replace the front light attachment to my Rad City 5 Plus suspension fork, I...

Shimano Steps E6000 inaccurate speedometer and odometer

Owners have to find a certified Shimano Service Center to get this resolved. I found one 90 miles away. For me the investment in time is just not worth the effort especially if I have to leave the bike. The reality is that my bike can't go a true 20mph. I agree with @Tozguy that...

    Rad Customer Support Slipping?

Thanks to everyone for their input. The part in question is the wire piece that attaches the fork-mounted headlight to the headlight. The bike was 4 months old when that part fractured allowing the light to fall off and almost was entwined in the spokes as I was riding. I photographed the...

Is Raleigh still selling ebikes in USA?

    That says it all! 😀

Is Raleigh still selling ebikes in USA?

Thanks for that information. I agree with you on the list of manufacturers to rely on. I’ve learned that one’s choices are also limited by where one lives. Truck and Specialized are represented by dealers in a reasonable distance. Not so much with Giant, R&M or Gazelle. Hence the rise and...

    Rad Customer Support Slipping?

I have owned a Rad Runner 1 and loved it. During the time I owned the bike circa 2020-2021, I never had a issue with support: emails were answered promptly and issues resolved. Yes, accessories are often out of stock and can take a long time to become available. Currently I own a Rad City...

Is Raleigh still selling ebikes in USA?

I own a Raleigh Miseo IE sport that Court reviewed in 2017. It's a great bike with over 10,000 trouble free miles. However when I search for Raleigh Ebikes USA all of the links are old or all bikes are always sold out. Has Raleigh abandoned the US market? Court used to do quite a few...

Shimano Steps E6000 inaccurate speedometer and odometer

You’re probably right. I noticed the error when I bought a gps speedometer. I ride with friends who have Bosch systems and I am consistently 1.5 mph optimistic. The Bosch dealers in my area are all certified in electric diagnostics and software updates. I ride on 700cx35 Schwalbe Marathons. Hope...

Shimano Steps E6000 inaccurate speedometer and odometer

I am amazed that you are having this issue on a new purchase with the newer 6100 motor. After many attempts I was able to connect with Shimano support (pre-pandemic) and I discovered that the nearest Shimano service center that could correct this issue was a 180 mile round trip. I just decided...

Upper Speed Limit of Rad Runner 1?

Thanks for that extra comment. I really don't have hills to contend with except for the intracoastal bridges that reach a height of 65 feet above the water. My Rad Runner1 has no problems with that at all: pedal assist 1 or 2 and some intermittent throttle.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread. Really appreciate the knowledge. Best Holidays to all!

Upper Speed Limit of Rad Runner 1?

You are so right! But why mess with all of that and void warrantees. There are so many companies ( Juiced, Ariel Rider, Sondors) that allow far more adjustment while staying in warranty. Don't get me wrong. Not unhappy with my Rad Runner 1. It suits me well for the purposes for which I...

Upper Speed Limit of Rad Runner 1?

I get the Class 2 liability issues. But if Rad is so concerned don't offer the 40 kph option. I'm curious now if I reset the kph to a lower amount than 32, will the motor shut off at the lower limit?

Upper Speed Limit of Rad Runner 1?

To be truthful, 20 mph on the Rad Runner feels very fast to me. It's more the principle of the thing: why doesn't the controller/motor respond as one would expect.

Upper Speed Limit of Rad Runner 1?

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate it. It's not a big deal but over the years I have read that owners have been able to get a bit more performance by adjusting the upper speed limit. I thought it might have something to do with the fact that the Runner1 has only 4 power assist levels. The...
