    Camping on my E-Bike

It's very compact but it does take a few minutes to put together and take down. Its also very firm, necessary because it's held up by the tension of the rods but there are no pressure points like on a pad. I have a very large self inflating pad thats comfortable but very impractical for...

    Terrific Summer Ride

I've driven skyline, had a great time. I don't know about biking it though. I, in my Lancer, passed a Mustang on a downhill portion. He then passed me and well...we were lucky not to run into any bikers. :) I actually want to go to Gettysburg again. They have a great driving tour cd, I want to...

    Dutch treat?

Why worry about speed pedelecs in bike lanes in the first place? There shouldn't be pedestrians in the lanes in the first place just like they shouldn't be walking down the street or a cars traveling on a sidewalk. Even if they did share the sidewalk, cyclists caused pedestrian deaths are...

Is An Electric Bike Worth It? *Noob alert!*

I'm going to play devils advocate and suggest a gas scooter or a used car. I went to a suburban school and traffic is rarely 'bad'. And I was always crunched for time and I never had time to ride a bike to school or work. Maybe if you want to save money on gas get a bike rack and a regular bike...

    Camping fail-

see that's the thing, he's not hauling the stuff by back but by a bike that can handle it, same as I intend to. I've done several 7 day trips carrying around 60 lbs. But I didn't have to hike that far or change camp more then 3 times. And my camp sites are awesome! Brought more then a flask...

    NYC Electric Bike Law

looks we're headed for the continual fragmentation of ebike laws in the US. Legal in one state, criminal in another. As a gun owner I'm used to it though.

    Rules

I know Pennsylvania has a law that backs up federal regulations, 750w and below. Tell him the law defines ebikes as bicycles and not motorized vehicles. As him to quote the regulation that bans bikes (of course they don't have one, they allow bikes).

Powerful Fat Tire E-bike w/ Torque sensor from Juiced Bikes

btw, let me make it clear that while I'm eager to get my bike I'm more then willing to wait while it's done right. My schedule is really busy from now to the fall and my pressing to know the delivery times is more of a need to be able to clear said schedule and make sure I'm actually home for...

Flying with Electric Bike Batteries? Tips and Advice

I recently went to the UPS store to mail a letter for Mother's day and spoke with the people there. They did confirm my earlier post that you can ship batteries ground (coast to coast like 5 days) and if you call the store ahead, they might even do store to store shipping (depending on the...

Powerful Fat Tire E-bike w/ Torque sensor from Juiced Bikes

Question for ya'll, how do you plan on using your Hyperfat? I live 60 miles away from work so commuting...yeah. I am however a huge Civil War buff and that's one of the reasons I moved to Spotsylvania Co. in Virginia. I love exploring the numerous battlefields of the area but it's a lot of...

Buying a bike on-line and wanting a local shop to do warranty service

reminds me of the debate in Texas with Tesla refusing to use dealers and Texas law requiring them. The libertarian in me says let them sell to willing buyers but I was sure glad I was able to go back to my dealers shop when I had a problem with my new car.

    A Battery Standard?

food for thought: The 12v car battery standard wasn't adopted until 1955. I don't think ebikes stand a chance, although Tesla probably will for automobiles.

EU taxes, thinking, and allowing is way different than USA!

I commute 60 miles to work, usually I take the train but it doesn't run on weekends which I work at least one day of so I have to drive that at least once a week. I just filled my car up at $2.05 so I shiver to think of a $3.00 gas tax. That said, I live out in the country and can't even ride...
