I fitted mine with an adjustable height stem (I had one that I never used) and that makes riding a lot more comfortable being slightly more upright. I would personally pump up the PSI to 60, 42 is probably a bit low. I've had my speedbox 2 on for approx 9 months now and no issues with it at...

I found out the other day that there is such a thing as a suspension stem! it might be worth a try first?

I have on the occasional morning where I forgot to charge the bike the night before. I think full charge is 4-6hrs (I plug it in at work and unplug it when I go home). I'm guessing 1hr will give you a good 20% charge?

I'm 87kg and ride only in sport mode and after 40km I'm down to 15% battery charge, elevation is approx 90m and I ride down to sea level and back everyday.

Hmm I ride a lot in stop / start traffic, on the road I can probably easily sustain 38kph, downhill I can hit 50kph before the cadence gets too high (i.e. my legs can't spin fast enough). That's all in Sport mode (my bike only has 3 assist modes and I find that Normal is only good if you want to...

I'm pretty sure its a sealed motor and no user maintenance is required. I don't think anyone who had a rear hub motor e-bike ever opened to motor to service it either? (I certainly didn't). Plus if you break the seal on the sealed motor you risk water / moisture damage without re-applying sealant.

That's pretty good as when I bought my 2018 Quick-e back in March Giant Sydney would not price match with a shop in Perth which was the cheapest I could find, they gave me a few hundred off but I preferred that to having to do possible warranty claims between Sydney and Perth. If that shop in...

The only ones are the external dongles that fool the speed sensor magnet but then it is obvious as it is external and your speedo reading will be wrong as it is fooling the sensor. The speedbox is hidden inside the frame and needs to be activated every time you turn on the bike (and can easily...

I've got the Schwalbe Big Ben 27.5X2" which inflates up to 70psi. Google says your G-One should also inflate to 70psi max.

I took 20mm or 30mm off each side of my handlebar also as they were too wide, I just used a hacksaw and filed the ends afterwards. My tyres are pumped up to 60psi

I changed the saddle on mine, the grips are finally OK after 8 months of riding, coming into summer I'm now riding without gloves and it is not hurting my hands anymore. I've got the speedbox 2 also and it makes riding in traffic a lot safer not being stuck at 25km/h. I also got an adjustable...

Thought I'd give an update after nearly 3 months of ownership: What I hate: Front Mudguard, on slow speed sharp turns my foot occasionally hits it, it distorts and jams in the wheel or the metal arms pop off. The handlebar grips have softened a bit and are more bearable now but should really...

wow, I assumed the bikes would be the same globally (with minor changes) but it seems like the US spec 2017 & 2018 are pretty much the same bike but in Australia we got the newer model for 2018. I'm a bit surprised especially when researching I read that some people had issues with the double...

The tuning modules are like the car chips these days, plug and play, if you need to do a warranty claim you simply remove it from the bike and there is no trace of the bike having been tuned. The tuning module is just removing the speed limit, it is not making the motor do anything it's wasn't...

It's the Australian spec (so quick-e 25kph to be specific). The only thing is no front suspension which OK for me as I'm on pavement all the time but still missing the suspension a bit as my old Neo Cross had it. All mid drive motors can be pretty easily 'tuned' now so that is something to...

I purchased a 2018 Quick-e about a month ago now, really enjoying the bike as I was looking for something that had everything included (mudguards, lights, rack). I changed the handlebar stem in the 1st week to something with a higher angle as the standard one is way too low. I was hating (and...

    Easy Motion Battery Rebuild

I went and picked up my new battery at lunch time and had a chat with Jake (Sydney Ebikes) and he also said that there is hot glue on the corners of the outer case and these need to be 'smacked' against something but with the right amount of force to break the hot glue but not the case... He...

    Easy Motion Battery Rebuild

I'm about to try and fix the battery (as opposed to rebuild) on my 2013 Neo Cross, it's 2 1/2 yrs old and is now cutting out at 3 bars (in sport mode) under load so I figure I have some cells that are failing as if I leave it in normal mode it doesn't cut out. I've just purchased a new battery...
