Why are so many of the eBikes available (like Haibike) 250 watts? Seems like a stronger motor would appeal to a wider base. Just asking.

That is one thing that I am watching. These manufactures are pushed to get bikes out the door. I am wondering how much quality assurance is being observed during this quick turn around time.

FlastSix or anyone else. When looking at Crazy Lenny's the haibikes seem to mostly have 250w motors. I just bought my wife a Ride1Up with a 750w motor. I'm not a true mountain biker but am wondering why these bikes have smaller motors and if I could get one with a smaller motor and be happy...

Thanks for the input Bob. I made decisions on home buying faster than I am able to with the eBikes. The Frey is like this dangling carrot that you cannot reach for months.

Got 3K to burn. Not necessarily committed to a turn key solution for an ebike. Would like mid-drive 1000w motor and a solid MTB platform to start. Could upgrade later. What is out there that would fit the bill?
