    Radcity direct drive

Wow how do you feel about the Juiced ccx ? I know it's cables are exposed but the manufacturer said they did that on purpose to allow easy repairs etc. As far as the Radcity I dont think I have read one post here that says they were displeased after the purchase on the contrary they love it...

    Crosscurrent x Ebike

Ok well Im waiting for their response as to how it's labeled... Im sure all manufacturers would love to make a bike that is made for all three classes but can designate the one they want (labeling). I wonder what the legality is though.

    Radcity direct drive

Well class 2 bikes have a limit of 20 mph so Im not sure that top end speed matters...But Im looking at the Juiced ccx as well which looks great

    Crosscurrent x Ebike

Do you know why they would label the s as a class3 and the x as a class 2?

    Crosscurrent x Ebike

Well if they label it a class 2 and the options are all three, that would be great but above, a person claimed they received theirs recently with a class 3 sticker

    Crosscurrent x Ebike

Alray that is very strange as the Rip current goes to 28 mph. I guess Ill wait to see what Juiced says as far as labeling. Then the next question would be how can they get away with placing a class2 sticker on a bike that can become a class3 by programming. Im sure other manufacturers would...

    Crosscurrent x Ebike

Im sorry, are you asking what was strange (referring to their response). If the Ebike industry has created classes that are defined as such and if the laws of each state define the uses of those classes, and each bike is labeled based on class, I do find it strange that the response is to call...

    Radcity direct drive

Thanks again ---It seems also gear less is heavier. In the original video you posted at approx 1:26 he says "geared motors are the way to go" But after reading your posts I think either would be ok for me do you have any suggestions as to other Ebikes I have not considered ? thank you :)

    Crosscurrent x Ebike

In addition to the website saying they ship as a class 2 here is the response after I asked a question (which is a strange response as I clearly am asking about the class 3/class 2 designation based on real world usage) "Thank you for reaching out! The Crosscurrent is labeled as class 2 as this...

    Radcity direct drive

Thanks Timpo that was informative and adds to my confusion lol. So direct drives are better for city driving/speed where Geared motors are best for starting off, going up hills etc as it has more torque at the start. will be using it mostly for fun/sport/exercise, not many hills but we...

    Crosscurrent x Ebike

Oh Yes I understand that but in Calif you are limited if you are using a class 3 bike --- and since it comes with a class 3 sticker they should not pretend that its a class 2 on their website or when responding to Emails. Thank you though :)

    Radcity direct drive

Im in the market for an Ebike. I was very interested in the Radcity until I learned it was direct drive as I read these were inferior systems. Can anyone with experience tell me the pros and cons of having a direct drive motor in general as well specifically as it pertains to the Radcity thanks

    Crosscurrent x Ebike

Wow thank you.... Not a great sign then from Juiced when answering my questions...they said yes its shipped as class 2 .... Seems a bit deceiving.

Thinking strongly about ordering the CCX

I just saw this thread and found it interesting. Im in the market for an Ebike and I'm thinking about getting the juiced ccx ...However Im in Calif and I will want to use the bike on bike paths which are designated for class 2 bikes. I have spoken (via email) with Juiced. I remember seeing...

    Crosscurrent x Ebike

Yes I have twice and no response. I'm wondering if something is going on with their company. The s version is no longer available and I thought I read that the x was out of production. But I just looked again at their website and it says they ship as class 2.

    Crosscurrent x Ebike

Oh Ok too bad :( I understood based on the text I read that they sent them out as class 2. Im in Calif and I definitely want to use some of our bike paths by the beach etc but class 3 bikes are no t allowed on these. thank you :)

    Crosscurrent x Ebike

I have read and watched reviews on this bike. I guess the "s" version has been discontinued. But upon reading about the x somewhere it said the bikes ship as class 2 but can be programmed to go to class 3. Is that true? If so can it be used as a class 2 legally (in Calif) and are there class...

    Looking for New Ebike

Thats why it gets more confusing. One bike will have the supposed same motor but the results are different based on bike. I was interested in the Radcity but I learned it has a direct drive rear hub which I learned was inferior. I like researching before I buy, but researching an Ebike seems...
