I've had a terrible time. I ordered a Knaap, it came and it was damaged in delivery and the company I bought it from are being uber stubborn about giving refunds. I'm thinking of saying sod it all and going for a Cube.

That's great news! I know I got a refund, but I do genuinely hope Newgen fulfill your expectations and you're happy with your bike. My Knaap arrived today so I'll assemble that this afternoon.

It doesn't look that great to me, I think NewGen has them beat on design. As I said, you know, NewGen looks the best. It's a very beautiful bike. But it's not in my hands, and I don't know when it will be for sure. That's the kicker. I've decided to go for a Knaap, if anyone was curious.

Like I said in earlier comment, I'd never consider a S73 given their history, but I'm open to changing my mind if their behavior changes.

Sounded disappointed, but, what can you do? Even on the phone, I think they said the frames could be this week or next week. Even when confirming a refund, I'm still talking about delays. As for other bikes, watch this space. Maybe I'll have a nap.

I went for a refund this morning. This whole experience is getting on top of me so I had to get out, but I wish everyone else a great time with their bikes.

Have any of you guys considered going for a Ribble bike? They aren't like the S73 or the Newgen in looks, but some of them have some solid reviews. It's a bit more sensible, but a worthy alternative, especially given that the range of them is 60 miles. I was having a look on their website and...

I just hope they don't rush construction. I'd rather it came later but put together better than rushed and early, if that makes sense.

Hm. It's disappointing that it won't be this week, but at least it's not another delay for another two weeks or a month!

I find that really interesting. I would've thought they would say something like, 'we're getting the frames this week, yours is coming soon' or something like that. Hmm.

Did you hear any more about delivery or anything about when yours would have been with you?

So, Newgen were supposed to get their frames delivered today but I haven't heard anything. This could be the week some of us get our bikes, so it's all very exciting. Has anyone been in touch with them?
