    20" Fork Recommendations?

Okay this is useful info. Unfortunately, there seem to be few to no 20" fixed forks with mounts for disc brakes. So the simple solution then would just to switch over to rim brakes. And if I do this it would open up a ton of options for forks I could choose from.

    20" Fork Recommendations?

I've got a Lectric XP Lite. I'm looking to upgrade the fork. I'm not sure what no-name fork is on there now, but it's 20" and 100mm. My priorities are: * At least a bit lighter * Decent shock absorption. The XP Lite has disc brakes and almost all BMX bikes seem to have no mounts for disk...

XP Lite Owners - Wish you had more power?

At level 5 on setting 12 the little XP Lite was actually too torquey, which surprised the heck out of me.

XP Lite Owners - Wish you had more power?

The Gotrax looks like it's a just a cheap(er) direct knockoff of Lectric products. Any thoughts on the quality of them and how they compare to Lectric? And after 120 miles, removing a bit of weight from the XP Lite, plus figuring out the settings (P11=1, P12=4), I think the XP Lite actually...

Cranks rotating when the wheel turns

Again super useful. Any reason to not just replace the super cheap OEM freewheel with a still cheap ($30) Shimano 1200 freewheel? Spending $30 for a better part seems like a much wiser choice than trying to service the crappy one.

Cranks rotating when the wheel turns

I deleted my comment above. I shouldn't be having these conversation before coffee. Above he said "remove the wheel" not "disassemble the wheel". Looks like there are just a half-dozen hex bolts holding on the cover. Opening it up, cleaning it, and adding good lube shouldn't be too bad...

Cranks rotating when the wheel turns

Suggestions on fixing it? And the answer could just be replacing it because the OEM one is obviously really cheap and low quality.

Cranks rotating when the wheel turns

Except in this case it doesn't: The bike rolling forward turns the cranks, which engages the cadence sensor, which turns on the motor, which moves the bike forward.... Unlike the powerboat, the bike is likely to quickly fall over and stop. But still it's a bit of an issue.

Cranks rotating when the wheel turns

Small powerboats and jetskis come with "kill switches" so they won't move without someone on them. Maybe e-bikes should do the same....

Cranks rotating when the wheel turns

With traditional bikes this happens but isn't an issue. With an e-bike it becomes a problem because when you're walking the bike, the cranks turn, and the motor kicks on. So.... why are my cranks turning when the rear wheel turns? Is it an issue with chain tightness or something? And note...

    Carbon forks?

@harryS Thanks. I just measured and it looks like they're 100mm And @fooferdoggie the bike started out so heavy, but it keeps getting lighter as I take off a pound here, a 1/2 pound there, and a couple of ounces there again and again. A couple of pound difference may not make a huge...

Recommendations for 48v led strips, or for waterproof 48v->12v voltage regulators?

I've got a spare 48 plug on my XP Lite and I'm thinking of adding some fun led lights to it. Unfortunately, searches for 48v led strips mostly turn up 12v strips with 48 leds. So, I'm looking for recommendations here. I'm also open to adding a small, waterproof voltage regulator and going...

    Carbon forks?

Quite a few people have upgraded the XP Lite with a suspension fork. But has anyone gone to carbon? Seems it would give slightly better shock absorption than the stock shocks, but also lighten up the bike quite a bit...

Lectric XP 3.0 folding e-bike pedals

IMO they're ugly, heavy, and the grip isn't great. I swapped them out for some quick release pedals which I got on Amazon for like $30 and I"m very happy with them. It's nice to completely remove the pedals when you're folding the bike...

Most lightweight and portable 48v charger?

It sure would be nice to be able to throw a charger into saddle bags or a backpack and be able to charge my bike at my destinations. I can do that with the charger which came with my bike (Lectric lite), but it is pretty big and bulky. Does anyone make any 120v chargers which are a lot more...

Where are the bike tire nerds?

Got the super moto x installed. I'm running them a 50PSI. This bike is now much faster with much better acceleration, and I don't think I lost any significant amount of comfort. Awesome upgrade for the XP Lite.

Where are the bike tire nerds?

Thanks for the help everyone. I did some more research on my own. It seems that lower weight and lower wind resistance from smaller tires don't matter much on e-bikes. It surprised me to learn that there seems to be only a very slight difference in the rolling resistance between narrow and...

Anyone know the manufacturer and model of the motor on the Lite?

And... in case anyone else is interested. Here's the motor which is used in the XP Lite. https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/CZJB-90A3-48v-350w-rear-wheel_1600236575873.html

Where are the bike tire nerds?

Great questions. I'll be riding in the streets of Oakland, Berkeley, and San Francisco. So bumpy roads with potholes. Not planning on doing any offroad, beyond some short hard-packed dirt trails which are easier riding than the bumpy roads. As for puncture protection, moderate but not...

Where are the bike tire nerds?

I just got a XP Lite that came with knobby 36PSI 2.6" tires. They provide great shock absorption but are too slow for using around town. I'd like to get something with a bit lower rolling resistance and a bit higher pressure for better speed and range. But there are endless options. Any...
