We have the Thule Easy Fold and transport 2 Trek Allant +7. Beware.. . Make sure you always lock the knob. Double check it is locked. My husband forgot once (comes with age) and that's why I now have an Allant+7 bike. The vibrations from the road loosened the knob and the bike drug on the...

Help! Can't get my wife to try ebike.

I am looking for the bike you just described. Lightweight e-bike that I could easily turn off the assist and be able go without feeling like I am riding my old heavy childhood bike of 60 years ago. Do they exist? Probably but I would like to have some $$$ left when I find the dream e-bike...

    Adjust reach on Trek Allant+7

Thanks. for the replies. Confirmed what I was thinking. I also thought about punching the 7s and have frequently regretted not getting it. The fit felt a bit different (better), but preferred the class1 bike. Time to visit the Track store again.

    Adjust reach on Trek Allant+7

I am 70 (wow when did that happen?), 5.5 tall and have the small frame Allant+7 bike. Overall the bike is OK. A bit heavy but that comes with ebikes. My problem is after riding I get back, elbow, and hand pain. I wear gloves but my hands still go numb. It feels like I just want my fingertips vs...

    Carrying a Como

We have a Thule Easyfold rack and overall very pleased with it until this week. We have been transporting both my husbands and my electric bike, each weighing around 56 and 52 lbs. We like the ramp which helps older person with weak sholders and uper body strength load the bike. The problem...

REI launches in-house electric bikes, showing off affordably priced Shimano mid-drives

Wow, I feel like this thread has two topics, REI and bankruptcy and secondary is information about the new in-house Co-op City E2.2 bike. I'm choosing the secondary topic. I just did a test ride of the bike. OH MY. It was a winner. Granted I am not a hard core bicyclist - just a 5.5 60+...

REI launches in-house electric bikes, showing off affordably priced Shimano mid-drives

I saw it yesterday as I was out bike hunting and I'm thinking about going back for a test ride. The bike looked very nice and the sales people said it was a very impressive test ride. Looking for some good feedback and evaluation of the bike and components
