Giant Quick-E 2018 Canadian Version - Question on the 32km/h Speed Limit - If you go faster any risks to Motor or not??

Remove the magnet on the wheel spoke and secure it on the pedal - to line up with the sensor. I’ve since removed the tape as seen in this picture and I bought a bigger magnet from my local bike shop which I’ve now secured with a zip tie. I can go as fast as I want now but I don’t really go over...

Giant Quick-E 2018 Canadian Version - Question on the 32km/h Speed Limit - If you go faster any risks to Motor or not??

Yes it works like a charm. I've been riding my bike with the speed limiter disabled for months now with no issues at all.

Found a way to work around the Speed limiter . Anyone know if this can damage my motor or battery?

Ahhhh...that makes sense. I typically don't run it on turbo yet LOL. But I also haven't been riding in the heat yet. It's about to get super hot here so I'll take that into consideration! I need to have the option of going 28 MPH or higher though. Also, I bought a second battery for longer...

Known Issues & Problems with Giant Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Interesting you say this. GIANT removed the LCD screen altogether in their 2019 Giant Explore E3. I never had it, and I don't miss. I've got my own speedometer and an app to mapmyride. GREAT bike otherwise!

New Guy with a Giant Explore E+ 3 GTS

I have the same bike. LOVE it. No issues at all and I've taken the speed limiter off by removing the magnet on the tire and putting the magnet back on the pedal so I can go faster than 20 mph assisted. Great ride. Cheers!

I've had no issues! I removed the magnet from the tire and put it on the pedal. Got to go! That extra 8-10 miles an hour makes all the difference in the world.

Found a way to work around the Speed limiter . Anyone know if this can damage my motor or battery?

I've put in 500 miles or so and I haven't experienced any damage to any of the components thus far (fingers crossed) . I have however had to reset my RideOne while on the road a few times because it blinked red notifying me that it needs re calibration. But after the reset ...no issues. I would...

Found a way to work around the Speed limiter . Anyone know if this can damage my motor or battery?

You are correct. Remove the sensor from the frame and the magnet from the wheel spoke. Fasten the sensor and the magnet to reconnect by passing each other with the magnet on the peddle and sensor on the frame. Slower peddle speed rotation vs tire rotation. I have a separate speedometer, and I...

Found a way to work around the Speed limiter . Anyone know if this can damage my motor or battery?

I removed the speed limiter on a 2019 Giant Explore. I’ve hit about 27 assisted which is plenty vs the 20mpg. Can the higher speeds have a detrimental effect on the bikes components?
