Known Issues & Problems with Bosch Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Update on my noise problem(s): Tightening the motor mount bolts stopped the creaking. Re-lubing the seat post seems to have stopped the 'clicking.' I'm still testing this. Thx.

Known Issues & Problems with Bosch Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

That does make sense. And I do somethimes have that very different sound too although it's behavior is different because it is at a different point in the pedal stroke and happens for each pedal stroke. The clicking/ticking sound only happens once per pedal revolution and when the left pedal is...

Known Issues & Problems with Bosch Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Update on my ticking/clicking problem: New pedals. Pedals tight to crank arms checked. Crank arms are tight to the motor input shaft checked. Seat tube clamp was tight. No rear suspension on my bike. It's getting worse (louder). The clicking/tick is still in the same pedal crank position and...

Known Issues & Problems with Bosch Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Hi. I have an Trek XM700+. At about 5500 miles I started noticing a click or ticking sound coming from the Bosch unit. The clicking is in sync with the crank position, and stays about the same position during a ride, but may change ride to ride. I can almost feel it in the pedals. At first I...

XM700+ cracks on rim both sides of two spokes

Good suggestions for rims. Unfortunately the TK 540 disc model is only 32 spokes (can't reuse hub), and the Velocity DYAD seems good but no eyelets. Maybe eyelets are not important. I don't know.

XM700+ cracks on rim both sides of two spokes

The bike is out of warranty. Trek suggested Bontrager W506969 as they say the original wheel is not available, but it looks cheap compared to the original wheel and reviews are not so good. I have looked for a replacement (either the exact same or similar) wheel and so far have come up empty...

XM700+ cracks on rim both sides of two spokes

Hi. I was changing my rear tire the other day and noticed two spokes have cracks both sides of the spoke. The cracks are about 1cm long. I have not hit any curbs or otherwise damaged the rim. The pic shows the worse example. The other spoke does not have the eyelet in the same somewhat odd...

Bosch Performance line drive system problem?

Hi. I have a Trek XM700+ with 4600 miles on it. A week ago I started to notice a subtle clicking or ticking noise coming from what sounds to be the Bosch drive unit. At first I though this might be the pedals, as I have had pedals click when the bearings are going bad (cheap pedals). But the...

Can not connect the Bosch Nyon to Wi-Fi after the latest update

I wonder what the rest of us Nyon owners are to do? Update - which clearly still breaks the wifi - and send back to Bosch, or just do nothing? Azu, what was the full and exact firmware level of your fixed Nyon? I think the update Bosch is pushing is 2.6.0.0.

Hi Jeff. Did you update your Nyon with the new software that came out early August? I get...

Hi Jeff. Did you update your Nyon with the new software that came out early August? I get reminded every day that the Nyon wants to update itself, but am not sure I want to risk it as there is only one report (that I know) of the update being done and it didn't go well.

    New Bosch Products

https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/nyon-upgrade-in-usa-worked-out-of-the-box.10315/ I like the Nyon. Somewhere north of $400.

NYON is not new. I have been using one since last October.

    August 1st Nyon updates

I powered on my Nyon (V 2.5.0.0) the other day and it came up with a screen (while wifi connected) that said there were updates available to the unit. See (Link Removed - No Longer Exists) I have not updated and was wondering if anyone had done so and their experience with the changes. I'm...

Wiring up bike light to Bosch system

Can I reuse the bracket my XM 700+ Super Nova is mounted on to mount an M99 Pure? Does the M99 Pure need to be mounted at handlebar height?

Wiring up bike light to Bosch system

Does the M99 Pure have two beams? One is the running light always shown in the ads (the two 'c' shaped arrays of leds) and a main beam for nighttime use?

Wiring up bike light to Bosch system

Thanks Ravi. The stock light is a Supernova E3 E-Bike V6S Headlight, rated at 6 volts, so when I replace that light with a Supernova M99 Pure+ (rated 12 volts), then I would need to get the software updated. Or can the (software updated) Bosch drive unit be configured to support, one at a time...

    Upgrades to my XM700+

Thx Jeff. My derailleur clutch (stock XM 700+) was off too. I did have the chain derail once, after 550 miles. I hope clutch on will stop that from happening again. I wonder why default setting was off.

Wiring up bike light to Bosch system

I understand the Supernova M99 Pure is a 6 volt light and the Supernova M99 Pure+ is similar but runs on 12 volts and is thus brighter. Is this correct? I assume the Bosch software update also changes the headlight voltage in order to run the Pure+?

Wiring up bike light to Bosch system

"With the new software update, you can run Supernova M99 Pure+ as well" Please elaborate in this new software update. When was the software update released and how do I get it? What else does the software update do/provide? Thanks. PS. Does the Supernova M99 Pure really require a separate...
