I would love some suggestions for the right e-bike for me

    1. Get a Step Thru whatever you do. 2. Narrow your choices to a bike that's available and serviced by your local dealer. I presume you don't want to do your own diagnosing and servicing. 3. 80? Invest in elbow and knee pads.

    Shengyi hub motor connector question

It can be accomplished with a new controller and a new matching display. What is your budget for making this modification? You are probably looking at $350-$400 for a decent torque sensing controller, compatible display, and wiring harness.

Question..how many times do you get asked if the bike charges while you pedal?..

First Question: Is that an ebike? Second Question: How fast will it go? Third Question: How far will it go? Fourth Question: Do you have to pedal? Never asked about regenerative braking

    Tubeless tire experiences

I've used this Quick Change inner tube before. One piece, slides around the rim. It really works and you don't have to remove the front or rear wheel. Huffy makes it in 27.5" an other sizes as well. Changed my wife's flat tire in no time at all without removing the rear hub wheel. Schrader valve...

Not asking, just making a point.

I gotta say, it "seems" like I ride better if I'm "slightly" stoned. At least, it "seems" as though I am more graceful. I haven't done it often, and it could be just an illusion. The music in my headphones is definitely better.

    Bafang middrive not working

Which Bafang Motor? Should be pretty easy to use the multimeter, read the manual on checking for continuity and DC current. watch a Youtube Video or two. Assuming your battery works, you will need to test that power is coming form the battery to the controller. I just had the same problem last...

I do recall that the Terms of Service Agreement requires that we have a "thick skin" when interacting in the Forums.

Poll - Did you upgrade from Cadence Sensing to Torque Sensing?

Rome, my apologies, allow me to clarify my question. Electric bikes all have a PAS (Pedal Assist System) In a "Cadence" controlled PAS mode, the power delivered to the motor varies with the speed of the pedal cranks. Like my first gen Aventon Level, or BBSHD Fat Bike. Cadence is defined by...

Eyes on the road at all times! Yeah, this one is really robust. It has a breakaway feature which is important as I do a lot of riding in the woods and trails where tree branches are always a problem. EVT Safe Zone Helmet Mirror

"Best advice for new ebike riders" from us

Wear head, chest, shoulder, and knee protection. Lights, lots of bright, flashing lights Don't share the road with cars. Stay off of roads. If you cannot avoid roads for 90% of your ride, you might consider a different hobby. Just my opinion. There is a reason that NHTSA keeps stats on cyclists...

Evolution Of An E-Biker - From Aventon Level, to DIY BBSHD Fat Bike, to CF Luna Cycle Z1 Enduro, to Fey Savannah CC, to Rohloff Hub.

$2,075 all in, including a new rim. I understand your usage of the phrase "set you back", but I am convinced the expenditure moved me forward. It has added to my joy of riding immensely, it will reduce my long term maintenance time and cost. The investment will pay dividends well into the...
