Last night around 7pm I got it built and set up around 4:30am this morning. I really like the torque sensor, center stand, brakes, and handling of this bike. Just a little pressure on the pedals and the motor kicks right in to get going from a stop.

Nice! Too many mirrors for me, but to each their own. How is Rad doing? If they come out of Chapter 11 smaller and stronger, perhaps you will be able to get parts in the future.

Looks like a very capable utility ride. Please let us know how it works for your purposes.

Curious about all those mirrors. Does each have a specific purpose?

I won't ride without a mirror. Even carry one on vacations where bike rentals might come into play. But one bar-end mirror low on the left suffices at home.

4:30 am? Did you have a deadline to ride somewhere?

Did the big tub on the back come with the bike? How is it fastened to the bike!

No, the 29 gal tote did not come with the bike. I got it at Walmart under $10 and drilled some holes to match the rear rack and screwed it down to the rack through some ABS sheets for reinforcement. Also used some zip ties for the corners up front. No deadline just enjoyed getting it done for today.

Well I had the mirrors on my Aipas M1 Pro I am giving to my son to blast around his acreage and he did not want mirrors, nor pedals, nor chain nor shifter lol throttle only for him and mounting some foot pegs to the bottom bracket instead of the pedals. I like the right side mirrors for when I turn left across an intersection. I ride city streets for grocery runs so I like to keep an eye on things. Looking forward to my first grocery run next week.

So did you add the taillights on the tote? And matching ones on the front rack.

You know even if it's only supplies for one, I appreciate the plentiful storage space that doesn't require a ton of creative repacking. This is what I consider an extremely modest Costco run for a household of five, and a big 'ol tote would make this much easier. I mean, just imagine adding toilet paper and a flat of yogurt to this mix.

On to UPS store before hitting the grocery for a case of bottled spring water. No more bungees for me lol

Good to see people walking the walk.
Actually ditching the car and out there in the elements.
I use my van to go the mini supermarket which is a quarter of a mile away.

The absolute reason being my bike would get pinched.

I bought a Trek long tail cargo bike last June, since then it’s done most of our grocery runs, hauled scrap metal, been used as a cooler at a BBQ and even hauled another bicycle. Fantastic things, more people should have them. I’m sure that the more you use it, the more you’ll love it.

Love the 60T gear. First ride with it and cruzin 19-21 mph was very nice and comfortable. No more torque surging and no problem starting from a stop in high gear. It is a winner for me I would go 62 if I could find one but I am happy with this. Today was a load test day..

with 55 lbs of water bottles in the rear and more groceries in the front there was absolutely no wobble at all speeds. Rode just like empty except when stopped and leaning the bike could I feel the extra weight. Front end steering seemed slightly lighter but very stable in turns. I was really happy and impressed. Sure it could handle even more weight and there was still plenty of room in the totes.

So I relocated the front turn signals up where I could see and hear them. Before when they were on the basket I could not tell if they were on or not. Now I can both see and hear the beep.

For the rear I changed the reflector position and added a second as well as a slow moving vehicle reflective sticker.

Happy with the set up now.
