Ultimate T10 battery area access

I've replaced the handlebar on my 2022 Ultimate T10 and now I must replace my shift cable for a longer one. This is my first real work on the bike (and first chance to buy tools). The current cable housing is too short, and is tight - like it's been zip tied somewhere inside the frame. If I remove my battery I see a plastic tray with three screws - all cables appear to be routed underneath this tray.. Even if I remove those screws I still cannot remove the tray - it seems to be further fastened somewhere - it's loose but cannot be removed. Is there a trick to removing it, or is removal a fools errand?

I'd like to use the existing housing as a guide rather than the magnet-on-a-wire tool (which I bought recently just in case), is this the usual approach?

My rear brake hose employs a sheath that (I believe now know) allows replacement without routing, I'm curious why Gazelle didn't use a sheath for the shifter cable as well.

You must remove the battery locking mechanism as well as the tray. Additionally, unplug the wiring harness. This will allow the tray to shift down and tilt out.

Thanks @PHXRDR. Conclusion after a days work: removing the battery tray was ultimately not helpful - loosening the >motor< and letting it hang down by the rear bolt allowed the old cable housing to slide freely through the frame. I did need to disconnect the large plug from the motor to allow the motor to hang down. Then I was able to pull the new cable housing using the old one.

While it was ultimately useless knowledge, I did learn how to remove the battery tray. I'll post a DIY with photos on that process in a day or two.
