Hello everyone. My name is Tom, I live in Ohio, love to canoe camp, hike, camp, paddle board, RV, and bicycle.
i recently received a lectric 750 express. I’ve only ridden twice but I’m glad I purchased it. There are a few minor issues but nothing too serious. When unboxing and with the seat quick release totally loose, this is what happened when I tried to raise the seat. The inner sleeve/shim must have a very rough edge. They are sending replacements.

Hoping to learn more about maximizing battery life, state of charge, how low to discharge it, etc.
Anyway, anticipating learning to navigate the forum and contributing to the community.

Welcome Tom. I had that same problem with one of my bikes. A weld had slightly melted into the tube and left a high spot. You will have to file or grind it off or it will score the new post too. I could get at the spot with a round file as it wasn't too far down in the tube.

Welcome @TMac. Extract the brake screws one at at a time after loosing them both, there is an O-ring at the bottom of the stack that will feel stiff and throw off centering the brakes, which must be removed. It is used for quick factory assembly to hold parts together but your brakes will never be right if they remain. Adjust the shifting limits with the chain off the dddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

AI just went nuts. Remove the chain from the drive ring and with your thumb press the limits and set them at the back of the derailleur. For the brakes use the backside 5mm to tighten, loosen the caliper, and put a strap on the lever. Back out the tension adjuster slightly and lock down the caliper there, then back off the in-board screw on the caliper and lay off the lever tension slightly. Or just take it to a mechanic who can torque it right assemble and dial it all in - fresh in box, intact, with no interference. DTC bikes always fail. Then there is no local support.
