Anybody have thoughts about upgrading M620 Ultra from UART to CANBUS?

I zapped my controller on my Frey HT1000 and mistakenly purchased the wrong protocol controller replacement. Have been reading about the differences between the protocols and CANBUS provides easier access to settings adjustment using the BESST tool. How much of a pain in the butt would it be...

    Rainy season brake noise recommendations?

I hadn't ridden for a couple of weeks until yesterday and my ride was in barely sprinkling mist, so it wasn't like I had ridden through a downpour to fully drench the rotors. I guess I just need to keep working on my braking technique.

    Rainy season brake noise recommendations?

Hi Folks, I'm riding an HT1000, which I love. It's strictly a commuter and a car replacer in my book. We've solidly entered the Seattle rainy season and have a question about wet rotor brake noise. When riding in the rain, my stock Magura MT5e brakes make an ungodly howl if I grab onto them...

Get a good helmet, and wear it.

    That was hilarious!

    HT-1000 First Crash

Totally sucks. You'd think that they'd have gotten a clue when they didn't have enough room to paint the friggin' bike symbol. I've always loved the term "asshat"! So many opportunities to use it.

    HT-1000 First Crash

What actually happened to me was that the pavement on the right side of the seam had settled more than the pavement on the left, so there was a tall barrier edge that my tire struck at an extremely shallow angle. I didn't have a chance.

    HT-1000 First Crash

Yikes. That's such a helpless feeling when you feel yourself going over and are powerless to stop it. I've tipped over a couple of times at intersections when I forgot to drop my seatpost and couldn't reach the ground with my toe. Super embarassing, but it goes with the territory of learning...

    HT-1000 First Crash

Wow. So basically, you were making sure that you had full body coverage with injuries, just to stay balanced, huh? Kidding. So sorry for your injuries, too! It's been a long time since I've taken a trip over the bars. That's pretty frightening since you have a little more time to see what's...

    HT-1000 First Crash

Oh yeah, the bike is fine. It's got some nice new "badges of courage" on it, but it definitely came out better than I did! ~Steve

    HT-1000 First Crash

Whelp. First crash on the HT was a doozy! I've got a little over 150 miles on my HT, commuting into downtown Seattle on a daily basis and I love my bike! I had switched out the stock 29x2.25" Maxxis knobbies for 700c x 2.00 Schwalbe Marathon's. I love how smooth and quiet they are as well...
