I tried some that sit on top tube which were awful, some with toe bar that can pull existing bike (again awful), then the instep/kazam style bike trailer with one wheel which worked the best for now.
I saw some youtube videos where Airtag was placed below Saddle, inside stem and inside top tube while measuring the distance for iPhone find my phone to detect/direct you to the bike location. He concluded that inside stem and inside topbar was 70-80% loss of signal between iPhone and Airtag...
Looks awesome!
Lightweight is surely big selling point of Vado SL and it doesn’t look like ebike even from shorter distances.
I believe you had Creo before? That would go unnoticed in this crowd of drop bar gravelers for sure!
Add 100 more miles to it making it 300 in 2 weeks :).
I was at LBS for bike fit which went very well. Trimmed the handbar by 20mm on both sides. Adjusted grip angle, seat height, saddle position, stem spacers to meet those recommended measurements/angles. LBS put on some hybrid pedals (Loop)...
I see some threads of folks using splitter to get a phone charging cables on VadoSL and CreoSL.
Is that legit? Where do they splice - at the motor or at the front light?
If my phone can be charged from bike battery; that should solve the problem as well :)
Thanks,
I am thinking of getting Garmin Forerunner 955 or Fenix watch to record bike (2 of them), run and walk stats.
Currently using only iPhone has not been sufficient to run through the day. It drains battery way before I am drained.
I could try Apple Watch but I hear it needs to be charged...
I am running into iPhone battery getting dead on 6+ hr rides when I have 22VadoSL5 connected to Mission Control + iPhone showing the stats/map.
Would the following work better?
Garmin watch instinct/forerunner/fenix - set to auto-detect bike ride with GPS and upload to strava - Long battery...
Futureshock springs:
Blue: light
Black: medium (default)
Yellow: Hard
I am liking the blue/light; it makes a bit of noise though. Don’t know if it had to do with but if lubricant applied around spring for default that I replaced.
20mm travel was plenty for road/gravel for now. And I am...
Crankbrothers stamp 1 and five ten mtb shoes ordered. Saw a YouTube video where guy throws the fiveten from 3 feet in air and it snaps right onto stamp1 like a magnet. Sold.
Changed the futureshock from black to blue (light) spring.
Phone: Both mission control and Strava are big battery...
I need those inner bar ends now.
Did a 80+ miles ride yesterday on eco 35/35 and was left with 15% battery so it does what Specialized claims in terms of range.
Saddle: Replaced with Brooks B17 and that gave jump in long ride comfort as I could sit on it all day
Grips: Stock grips worked well...
