My Ebike has a Bafang SWX02 hub motor, KD58c LCD and 13ah 36v battery.
I noticed on the LCD display under advanced settings, you can change the level of amps. Stock is set at 15 amps. What would happen if i increase or decrease this level, and by how much can I do so? It is a UK restricted bike...
Is it best to get an ebike with double walled rims? Since the torque of the motor and additional weight of an ebike itself is going to put more stress on the wheels. Or is double walled a bit of a gimmick? Thanks
Ok thanks. My intended route is more like 35-40 miles but i said 50 because id like the battery to have some charge left at the end. I guess I could turn off the whole system and just ride it like a normal bike for the last few miles if need be. Its mainly flat anyway
Ah thanks makes sense. I forgot to mention its a 250w Bafang motor restricted to 15mph (UK law) with a 20A controller I believe. So this should make the range more likely correct? Since I wont be going fast and the motor cuts out if 15mph is exceeded.
I live in a fairly flat area so I guess it could be possible if you manage 30 miles on a 10ah battery. Its a hardtail 22kg bike with 2 inch tyres on it
I know it varies but just a rough guideline since im interested.
What battery/motor combo do you have and what sort of mileage do you get on a single charge? Thanks
I prefer the looks of the Rio though. It has a more powerful motor apparently but may suffer less range as a result. As long as it can make the trip I suggested i'll buy it
I'm a UK member so limited to UK bikes, 250w motors and 15MPH
Looking for a bike that has the following:
Hydraulic disc brakes
Is a MTB
Front suspension
Preferably mudguards
Can have a rack fitted or comes with one
Can do 40 miles or more on one charge
This is the commute i'd like to do, there...
