Pedals now slipping on my Vado 4. Doesn’t matter if the bike is on or off, manual or eBike mode. Pedals slip forward providing almost no drive to the bike. Seems like the clutch in the motor has gone. Bike has done around 8000 miles. Is this an expensive fix? Has anyone else had this same problem?
Pedals are now slipping forward with virtually no drive to the bike at all. Doesn’t matter if the bike is on or off, manual or eBike mode. No strange noises. Has the clutch gone in the motor? Has about 8000 miles on it now. Dread to think how much this will cost to fix.
Pedal fell completely off my Charger4. R&M initially refused to provide new cranks under warranty until my local bike shop talked them into it and I now I’ve waited nearly 4 weeks for them to arrive from the Germany to the UK. Asides from the rubbish service from R&M, are cranks for Gen4 Bosch...
Thanks Stefan. Sounds like it will work. Just don’t see the point of having separate battery operated lights on the handlebars when the bike has its own huge built in battery!
Hi guys
I have a first Gen Vado 4 and really want to replace the built in front light for a much better one. I’ve seen a Lezyne light that I’ve attached the compatibility chart for. Is one of the Brose systems mentioned for the Gen 1 Vado?
Thanks!
Really interesting to see the new Vado although the motor torque does seem down on the existing Vado. I’m in a very happy place with my current Vado 4 so I hope they release a nice higher capacity battery for it so I can keep it a bit longer. Unlikely as they’ll want me to buy the new one. Belt...
A week ago my App said there was a software update available that needed to be done at a dealer. So I booked to visit the dealer today and the App then told me this morning that everything was already up to date. Dealer plugged it in anyway and confirmed that all the latest software was on...
Must admit I’m getting a bit nervous that my warranty will soon run out. Anyone heard of extended warranties for eBikes? I know the frame is lifetime warranty but it’s the rest of it that concerns me. My shop told me today that Specialized give 30% off new bikes for customers who’s old bikes are...
As far as I’m concerned, dishwashers and electric toothbrushes are also cheating. Or maybe like eBikes they are just a better way of doing things! The adventures I’ve had and the miles I’ve covered I just could not have done on a normal bicycle. Also a Vado 4 in Scotland by the way!
Whilst I understand what you are all saying, the actual bike itself has said “not in stock” on Specialized UKs website for years. But it’s still there. So why has the replacement battery vanished entirely from the accessories list? Most of the accessories probably aren’t currently available but...
Is this what you mean? Did it on both my Vados. Although since the recent software update it’s now a different message which I can’t remember. Turning the bike off and on again seems to clear it 99% of the time.
