2019 RadMini - Rear Rack Install Help

As I stated above we purchased two Rad Mini's and two rear racks for these ebikes. I had problems with both racks lining up with the factory frame mounting holes, it was like three of the four mounting holes would lineup, but the fourth was off from a half hole to almost a full hole for the...

    Swapped tires on my fattie

My Rad Mini Step Thru came with the smooth tires and I really like them, I also come from riding dirt bikes so I can make the tires handle for me without any problem. I think when it comes time to replace the tires I will probably go back with the same tires, or one with a smooth tread.

RAD MINI 2 Step-thru or New Rad Runner Plus

My wife an I ride Rad Mini Step Thru's, she is 5'7" and weighs 120, I'm 6'1" and weight 240, were both in our middle 70's and the Rad's fit both of us very well, so what kind of problem are you looking for, we don't have any with my Rad Mini's. We take ours camping folded in the bed of our crew...

How skilled are you in fixing your ebike ?

I think I'm skilled enough to work on our Rad ebikes, the only exception is the electronics as I have no equipment to test them, I don't expect Rad does either as they just replace them if they don't work. At 75 mechanical repair comes pretty easy for me as I grew up as a kid wanting to work on...

Buying used Rad bike. would you?

Buy it, the only thing you probably need to do is make sure the seller conditioned the battery the correct way. The manual says to run the battery totally down, that's 0 bars and then recharge, do this at least three times before you start doing half recharges, that is recharging before you get...

RadMini4 or Sondors Fold XS ?

We have two Rad Mini Step Thru's, we take then camping and also ride them on the Trinity Trails in Ft. Worth, Texas. We carry them in the back of our pickup and I remove the batteries when loading and unloading to reduce the lifting weight. Our ages are 75 and 72 and we find no problem with...

Are you happy with your ebike’s noise levels? E-motor, tires, shifting, etc.

Our Rad Mini's are what I would call very quiet, that is the noise level is really never noticed when riding, isn't that what you want. trainman

    Too fast launch speed

My Rad is the step thru model, so I start with my butt on the seat and both feet on the ground, or a least one touching for balance. I just give it a little throttle and go, by this way I find I have good control of the bike as speed is where the balance is. Like I said, pretty much the same way...

    EBR reviews barely mention reliability/repairability

If you watch enough of Courts reviews, which I did before I purchased an ebike, you will learn Courts likes and dislikes and how he describes the ebike he is testing. It's call, reading between the lines.

    First time e-bike buyer

I'm 6'1", 250 lbs., 75 years old, and have ridden dual sport motorcycles most of my life up to a year ago. I ride a Rad Mini Step Thru and it does the things you want in an ebike. I will say there are other bikes that can probably fill your needs better then the Rad, but for $1500 it's a good...

    Too fast launch speed

I have a Rad Mini Step Thru, a 20" fat tire bike. I do know what you are saying about when you start peddling, but for myself I just use the throttle and I like the start peddling feel as I feel it gets me going at a safe speed that I feel gives me good control of the bike. I'm 75 so control is...

Has anyone else pre ordered the Rad Runner Plus?

I think for the money the better buy is the Rad Mini's, either model will work, more options as standard over the Rad Runner Plus.

Best ebike for your aging Mom

My wife and I have Rad Mini Step Thru's, she really likes hers and for myself coming from the dirt bike world I like its size and offroad feeling of the ebike. We are in our early 70's and I think the easiness of getting on and off whatever the circumstance my be is what sold that style of ebike...

    Fatty street tire options

We have the Rad Mini Step Thur's that came with the street tires from the factory in 2019, I see the 2020's come with knobies, I guess the buying public wanted the knobies over the slick street tire. I personally like the street tire over the knobies as I come from the motorcycle riding world...

    Mini VS Rover

I'm 6'1" and 240 lbs., I ride a Rad Mini Step Thru, I'm totally happy with mine, I also come from riding off road motorcycles so the smaller handling of the Rad Mini's work for me riding both on and off road.
