Another hub drive Turbo failed today

Yes, five years at 6 days a week commuting. Still...thought it might last longer.

Another hub drive Turbo failed today

My 2014 Turbo just stopped working half way home today, it was a very slow ride home as even with the hub unplugged it seemed like pedalling a generator! I followed the diagnosis chart posted on another thread but no luck. Local bike shop won't be able to look at it till end of month so it's...

    Replacement chainring for 2015 Turbo

Hi, I recall Douglas Ruby(?) on here had some links for replacement 48t chainrings on the Turbo but my search couldn't find it. Can someone remember it? I just want to replace the stock chainring without the hassle of replacing cranks. Cheers.

Rear hub disc mount a bit wobbly

Nice work, did you relace to original rims again? Your cycle engineer isn’t Bruno is it?

    Best tire for the wet

Any update on the Almotions on the Turbo? Like to know what size you went with, tubed or tubeless and how hard/easy the tire went onto the rim. I have some 38C tubeless Almotions on my other conventional bike and they were extremely difficult to mount. I dread having to take them off.

Rear hub disc mount a bit wobbly

Is this where the rotor bolts onto the hub? That's a worry. You can get thread repair kits but you'd have to see if the rotor bolt holes allow a bigger bolt to make it work.

    Marathon Almotion TL Easy

I got a pair of Schwalbe Marathon Almotion tubeless in 700x38c for another bike I'm building and decided to try them out on the Turbo to get a feel for them and compare to my Energizer Plus tyres (700x47c). I mounted the front onto my MTB wheel tubeless and the rear on the Turbo with a tube, I...

Is there any alternative to bike or helmet mirrors?

I use the mirror that came with the Turbo and find it adequate, being a motorcycle rider as well I can't imagine being without a mirror. There is a Garmin radar device but only have seen a demo of it, seems to work but I prefer to see whats behind me - you can't tell the behaviour of vehicles...

    Tyres for the Turbo

Richard, I'm almost sold on the Marathon Plus but in the 47 size, do you think the change in grip and stability is the narrower size or the rubber? I'm probably one of the few that like the slicks and I'd buy them again except that they are prone to glass punctures. I do value grip very highly...

    Tyres for the Turbo

Will there be much difference in speed error between 38 or 40 to 45mm? Seems like most tyre sizes go from 38 or 40 straight to 47.

    Tyres for the Turbo

Thats encouraging Bazzapage, I see you live in Auckland as well so your conditions will be the same. So the Energizers not as good as the Specialized slick tread tyres? or did yours come with the treaded tyres? Also did you buy locally as I wasn't sure local bike shops would stock these.

    Tyres for the Turbo

Hi everyone, just about down to the canvas on my original tyres and there are so many cuts that it's time for new tyres. Has anyone ridden on Schwalbe Marathon (Plus), G-One speed or Energizer Plus? Looking for a fast tyre but heard the puncture resistance on Marathons is amazing. Anyone...
