I've had good luck with a Topeak bag on a Tetrarack rack. Nice thing is I can unclip the bag and take it into the store with me.

I plead guilt as charged. My bikes with derailleurs have 11 & 12 speed gearing respectively. I ride an average of 150 miles per week...
