    Winter Sucks

I have a several hundred year old oak in my back yard. I had it heavily pruned back because it started to grow over my roof. The thing used to put out so many acorns. The squirrels went nuts. This year it's about half as many.

    Hop-Heads and Beer Geeks Unite!

Sorry, I missed this question. I'm not a huge dark beer fan, but every holiday season, I buy a 6 pack of Troeg's Mad Elf holiday ale. 11% ABV. More sweet than hoppy. I can only have one, it gets to be too much.

On the HBO Max/Peacock coverage, you get a race introduction, and the neutral to 0km. Then they go over the course, showing the features, and potential strategies that teams may use. Next, they may show some highlights (attacks, sprints, KOM, etc., and some lowlights (crashes, mishaps, etc.)...

Great racing today at Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne (UCI 1.Pro). The race was dominated by UWT teams, but the there were two podium places taken by ProTeam riders. Matthew Brennan took the win after a strong leadout and won by 3 lengths. Mozzato and Trentin (Tudor) rounded out the podium. Jasper the...

Some good insight here. The rim is clearly cracked, most likely from riding on the flat tire. Tire liners will get you to the team car but if you ride on them for too long, bad things happen. When a carbon rim cracks, the spoke tension changes and then even more bad things can happen. Add to...

Faun-Ardeche, UCI 1.Pro in France. Single day race. There's a different race and course tomorrow in the same area. I refuse to pay the vig for Flo coverage. I'm already paying for Peacock and HBO Max.

Yeah. He rode away from Jorgensen, Christen, and Martinez 40km out and stuck it. He's clearly in better form than the other three, but that was fun to watch. It was also fun to listen to. Brian Smith and Jez Cox spent almost all of their airtime talking about this race and racing in general. It...

The roof needs work and the basement is flooded, but otherwise, it's a nice little place. 😁 🤣

Unbelievably, Visma has been viewed as being on the brink financially. Crazy. Part of the reason is that they have to compete with other teams for Dutch riders, which drives their costs up.

Light vs regular full suspension ebikes

I test rode a customer's Yeti MTe with the Bosch CX-R. The thing ripped. The Yeti frame is miles above the Stumpjumper clone frame that the Amflow uses. If you can live without the boost, take a look at it.
