Looking for information is never a waste of time. I'd be looking for information one way or another. I either invest a ton of time learning about controllers to determine whether or not the controller on the Aventure is capable of using a torque sensor, or... ask if someone has already done it...
If someone has done the swap that may have been something they looked into. I would love to hear from someone who has done the swap on the "Aventure" and hear if that was an issue.
AHicks - can I assume you haven't done the swap?
I tried the 152mm arms for a bit but ended up going back to the 170mm. I also went with these crank arms due to the pedal thread on the stock arms getting chewed up. My left pedal backed out and before i noticed the thread was destroyed. Thank god for throttle.
I still have the 12:32 stock...
I switched from the 26x4 that came with the Aventure to these: https://a.co/d/6EnQjm0 From what I could see Hookworm stops at 2.5. I'm trying to avoid replacing the rims or messing with the spokes.
Most of my commute is on city roads. I go from Sacramento to Davis, 1-2 times a week. The wheel wobble is pretty bad at higher speeds, so I won't ever be doing much faster. No bad crashes yet... but I also where a DOT motorcycle helmet just in case. You can also improve the ride by getting tires...
You are correct sir. That's my mistake. The connector between battery and charging port is not an XT60. I was thinking about the connector between battery mount and motor controller(XT60).
The big blue one in the video is an EC3, the yellow looks to be a MR30-F. Without breaking down a battery...
A larger front chain ring can increase top speed by a smidge. No need to mess around with the electronics. I went from 42t to 52t. With similar motor/power specs I'm getting 32mph. I'm also a big guy, 280lb, eventually moving less mass will also result in higher top speed.
I noticed the same thing at the high end. No resistance. I went with a 52t front chain ring. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08NXD3T5D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1&psc=1
I've been looking for a different cassette for the rear where did you you find your 11:36?

that's not the charger for the Aventure bike. The Aventure bike doesn't use the standard barrel connector. It use the Higo 3pin connector

With the BMS being part of the battery, the charger is only supplying the proper input volts, correct? So any charger with the correct output rating, with a comms wire should work when using the a HiGo connector.
