No, it was not great before the installation. I tried to fix it by watching some videos on YouTube and Rize Bike's website but may have made it worse. Think I got it back to where it was before but it is still not great.

I got it. I guess you have to seat part of it and hammer in the bolts. Once you get one bolt hammered in, the next follows, and then the last. I guess I just figured it would all line up without force and a hammer but the Rize support engineer said no. Now I am having issues with my derailleur...

I have my bike upside down trying to put it in but nothing. I noticed in the video they put the back in first and then the front. Its not possible with the Rize bike. If you seat the back the front hits on the housing and wont go in. I have tried plugging in the wires first and then installing...

Great video but it really skips the reinstall. He can move all the wires out of the way easily but there are two wires that go from front to back in the motor bay that you cannot move. I have tried probably 50 times now and its impossible. Doesn't matter how much the wires are moved or where...

@AHicks have you ever removed a Bafang motor from a bike? I got my new motor in and it is the correct one this time. I tried to install it back in the bike but it is next to impossible to get it to seat correctly with the wires. No matter what I do, I cannot get the motor to seat all the way...

Well, the motor cannot be used anyway because there are two connectors that are different on the 48V motor than the 52V motor I removed. I have contacted RIZE again and they are working to get me another replacement. We will see what happens.

@Bubba zanetti I believe it is a 52V battery. If I am not mistaken, Rize switched this model to a 52V for the new models. Last year's model I believe was a 48V system. What do you mean by non-canbus?

After it starts making that noise through pedaling it will also make the noise with throttle. I also noticed it started with throttle after you brake hard. For example, I brake hard (not tire screeching hard) to a slower speed then use throttle the sound would happen. Not as loud but it happened.

@Bubba zanetti @HoustonGlen I did get a response from Rize after following their reporting an issue template. They asked me to take two more videos; one in walk mode and one with throttle only. I just sent those off on Monday. I have noticed the consistency of when this happens is erratic...

I also have issues with the derailleur on my Rize RX. It skips gears and wont change smoothly. I may have to take it somewhere to get adjusted if my attempts fail again.

I did but i guess i didnt follow their specific format for emailing so I just sent that back to them in the correct format. Some people have said this is normal but I dont think so. There is no way a motor can be that loud. I feel like it is so loud I cannot even hear my phone playing music on...
