I've been a road cyclist for over 30 years riding 30 to over a 100 miles a ride with lots of hills around Seattle. In fact my last 5 miles to get home have always been up hill. It used to be "fun" to tackle the hills but lately you ask yourself why? What's the point of working that hard? The ebike has brought back the joy of riding! I still ride most of the ride with the motor off. Even though I carried a set of panniers on my light road bike this ebike is a lot heavier and getting heavier the more I find I can take like my camera, tripod, etc. So I'm really getting more exercise than on my road bike but not quite as fast...
