Carbon flat bar - Tesoro Vado Skitch?

Look, I get that you have an abiding love for Specialized, but perhaps it blinds you to reality. I don’t consider a $4,000 USD Cannondale “cheap”. Do you? It is on sale, at 27% off. The Vado is full price, no sale, and seems over the money in the current market. At regular prices in the US...

Carbon flat bar - Tesoro Vado Skitch?

Thank you for this - it is very helpful. For me, I don’t believe the advantages would be worth a 50% premium.

Can you please explain the quality and capability advantages of the Vado over the Cannondale?

Carbon flat bar - Tesoro Vado Skitch?

If I buy a Vado, I would get it in Canada, but it is significantly costlier than the Cannondale (50%) and the Pinarello (25%).

Carbon flat bar - Tesoro Vado Skitch?

The bikes have enough overlap in the commuter/light trail realm to be reasonable substitutes. I would be buying the bike in the U.S., it it’s the Cannondale or the Pinarello.

Carbon flat bar - Tesoro Vado Skitch?

Thank you very much. I will see about availability of the Pinarello. To be clear, I was speaking about the Cannondale “Tesoro Carbon” bikes, with Bosch SX Sprint mid-drive motors - I find the Cannondale naming a little confusing. This model is not available in Canada, but I am planning a trip...

Carbon flat bar - Tesoro Vado Skitch?

The Cannondale seems the best value at the moment, but any thoughts on these, or alternatives?

    Interesting Times for Electric Bikes

This was my conclusion as well. A single motor would simplify inventory management throughout the supply chain, including for parts.

    Interesting Times for Electric Bikes

Your information is not up-to-date. The Velduro Phantom is a lightweight, Avinox-powered flat bar commuting and adventure bike - rigid frame, rigid fork. They make a drop bar gravel version, as well, and sell the motorized frame for custom builds. The Paprika 53 Model 25 GT is an...

    Interesting Times for Electric Bikes

Since we’re discussing expensive luxury electric bikes, we are in the realm of ‘need’, rather than actual need. DJI, Brose, Mahle and Bosch all have products coming out in the 100+ N.m segment, so maybe more people ‘need’ 100 N.m than you imagine.

Speaking of which, Mahle is coming out with a competitive unit - the M40, and more entrants are in the wings.

Test Rode Cervelo Rouvida Road vs Trek Domane+ AL 5 Today. My Analysis

You said that manufacturers don’t share the actual power figures. In any case, why would they be honest about power but lie about torque? These are nominal specifications. They don’t seem much rounder than that power figures.

Test Rode Cervelo Rouvida Road vs Trek Domane+ AL 5 Today. My Analysis

If the manufacturers are making up the published power figures, how are they more reliable metrics than the torque figures?
